What is with people upvoting this? It's been dupe. Doesn't lower its price when the dupes have gift text on it that can easily identify it, and gift texted items are almost other items entirely.

Prices should always be for regular items. The site already does a -25% on gifted items.

This needs a price, and I think that 0.6-0.8 is a good set for it. If Valve is able to clear up the dupes, I would argue at a later date that it might deserve a bit more since the effect compliments the hat nicely.

Way too low for nonduped. Just because there are dupes of it out there doesn't mean all of the non-duped are going to go down. Anyone can just check the lvl of the hat or the owner history to verify

No, this price suggestion is about right.

The duped ones go for around 10 keys. This price suggestion isn't for duped ones. The dupes ones can not be ignored when pricing the non-duped ones. Having cosmetically equivalent versions of this hat flooding the market place will have a real effect on the price of the non-duped ones.

To deny that is to ignore how the market works.

Number of reasons why this is too harsh: It was worth 2 buds. You're suggesting that 5 dupes of this, that will possibly be deleted/not traded, already lowers the hat's value by MORE than half.

I can agree a small devalue of the hat. Perhaps from 2 buds to 1.5 buds. But less than 1 bud just because of a few dupes that may, or may not circulate? Unacceptable. Especially when the dupes are as easy to spot.

I do think this price suggestion is too low though. I'd say 0.9 - 1.2 would be more reasonable.
