You have to wade through a TON of crap, but they're there. And being in crates, it'll only ever go down for the foreseeable future, not up. Disagreed.
Popular scout hat, similar to the tossle cap.
yes this item is in a crate... but for some reason crate 47 seems to drop less often then other crates and theres a low chance to get one, so the market isnt absolutely flooded yet :P
a key is still a reasonable price ATM, afterall this hat did sit at about 3ref for months...
Just saw a guy selling a pile of them for 1.33 each; bought one. This hat's only going down for a while IMO... Gauge this by what people are willing to pay instead.
The price kinda has to follow the offer, not the demand, even though the offer will eventually rise, yeah. ATM craftable ballcaps are priced 99% of the time at 1 key or more on outpost. Also emphasis on NIGH impossible to find them at lower prices.
I sell them easily for 2.66.
Ah, so merely NIGH impossible

I see now.
I know that there are some 2 ref offers, but if the market average is much higher than that, i don't see why SOME low prices would define the general market guideline.
There's over 20 pages of these on Outpost, which indicates that supply is outpacing demand. That sea of 2.33 refined Ballcaps is the result of stubborn sellers refusing to accept that very few people are paying 2.33 refined for these now.
