Why so much upvote on this without any evidence? I will sacrifice my rep for a downvote... unlike all the other rep hogs.
So will I.
Sad day for the 'no evidence- downvote' crowd. This suggestion is accurate.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/search/40795497/1- 20 full pages of FDUs, largely unsold. The classic sign of an item people are overpricing, likely due to the usual culprit- spreadsheet reliance. There are SWARMS of FDUs unsold at 4.66-5 ref.
FDUs still unsold at suggested price:
3.66:

4.33:

That's a significant amount of 4 ref FDUs for an item that supposedly puts 4 ref at the minimum range.
On the flipside, those buying.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5159548- Offered 3.55 within a day, 3.22 the next day.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/4789115- Offers in the range of 3-3.66
Top offer of those buying numerous FDUs on the low side is 3 ref. The common top wishlist offer will always be too far on the low side for reliable buying price from my experience, and it's notable the supposed 'current offer' folk no longer have their FDUs, putting 3.66 at a very reasonable minimum range.
