Why are you trying to copy someone elses trade?

Keys are rising because metal is losing value. Most people only want keys because they occupy less backpack space than metal.

@♥ Bigode ♥, that is the normal thoughts people have. But keys are actually rising because of the demand. You need keys to unbox unusuals and keys are a currency because a minority would say they dont accept keys as payment. And as most people wants keys they are in price. Because why would I give away my key wich majority of people wants against your hat (unless I want your hat)?

I can only imagine the shit storm that this one will cause since the other proposal caught flack and was raising the price by 1 weapon.

I dont understand this. How can you not see the clear signs that this is the valid price right now? I have shown proof, made my point why and I dont even own alot of these items to gain any profit from this? I dont care if this cause a shit storm. If it do it is just because lowballers will see this as a threat. Just be sure to leave a comment then.

Keys are fine as it is. I think this shouldn't change. I buy keys a lot, it's not hard to find someone selling for 2.55. Just go on a server. It's quite simple. Moving the price up by this much will cause the market to shift up a bit. 2.55 is fine, it's not hard to find people.

@Zeliboid, I dont think it is that simple. Im a active tf2 trader and I havent met people selling for less then 2.66 in a couple of weeks. Just giving my two cents about this items price. Seems like most people disagrees and rather neg me.

I find plenty of people selling from between 2.55-2.66. Its easy to find someone selling 1 for 2.55 or even 2 for 5 ref. That is if you aren't impatience and bother looking past the first page of OP or any other trade site. Hell, I even see some people agreeing to sell for 2.44 on some occasions. A flat value of 2.66 is inaccurate.

@Duscoda, that is your opinion and I cant seem to change it. But can we both agree this will eventually become standard? I remember keys going for 2 ref each about a year ago.

No I disagree, It's difficult finding someone who is selling a key on a trade server for 2.55 ref. You need to at least spam buying a key for 2,55 ref for an hour on different servers to find someone who will sell at that price. Most people on servers only want to sell at 2.66 and they try to buy at 2.55 but no one will sell to them.

The prices of keys shouldn't change at the moment. Prices are fine, and you are suggesting to move up the market, when trades have been going completely fine and selling well at 2.55. Now you force buyers looking for 2.55 to buy for 2.66, which will make trading a bit harder.

I like how you believe what you say is fact and anything I say is opinion. Buyers ask for 2.55 (or 2 for 5) and sellers ask for 2.66. I see people buy and sell for those prices all the time. Those same sellers you see flooding OP asking for 2.66 go out and buy them for 2.55 or 2 for 5 all the time.

@Zeliboid8, I do not try to move up the market. What Im trying to do is adjust the backpack.tf spreadsheet to the active market price. I understand what you mean that buyers want 2.5 or 2.55 but Im sick and tired of explaining to people I will not sell my keys for less then 2.66 and most of their arguments are 'but backpack.tf/spreadsheet say its 2.5'. That have to change. The problem isnt the price right now, its the traders.

So you want to make its 2.66 flat because others mention how there is a price range to them and that others sell for 2.5/2.55? In that case I should make the strange grenade launcher 6 keys flat since others mention how its 5-6 on here and spreadsheet despite the fact that people buy and sell for both 5-6 keys..

It's easy to buy keys for 2.33 - 2.55 Ref each if you find a nice person on a trade server.

If you do this more people will ask 2.77, and some people already do.
