I don't know why UCTC are such a common buy yet such a hard sell. I used to see these go for 4 ref but now I don't see anyone selling above 3.55.

There might not be many uncraft TCs that sell but you can definitely sell them for 3 ref or above. The current price is fine.

the reason of why there are so many uncraft ones is because of the summer sale, when they were very cheap at mann. co, a lot of people bougth them when the price of uncraft ones was from 4 to 5 ref,as many buyers tought they could make profit from this, me included, but it backfired as the market was soon flooded with uncraftable team captains, hence the difficulty to sell them. still they are pretty sellable at the current price, you have just to wait longer than before

3 ref sells no problem. I think you may have just had bad luck or didn't wait very long before getting frustrated. Also, did you ever even have one for sale? Your backpack is only worth 6 ref so it's hard for me to imagine you even had one to begin with. Downvoted.
