As a crate trader (possibly the most experience with rare series than anyone in TF2, jjon having most experience in general), I know that if you continue to raise these prices, the offers will continue to get higher and higher and people will sell for more and more. It's best to keep them where they are at unless you see a HUGE change in what people are paying, otherwise the trend will continue and people will be paying 3 keys for these in no time. Downvote.
Ace of crates, how much do you sell your #19 crates for?
These will likely go up until the grenade launcher comes out in another crate, then they will fall hard. Until that time, people are willing to pay 3 ref all over tf2op. One user is even trying to get 2 keys each for his 10 crates.
what he means to say is that the people who use backpack.tf prices wont sell as high and the people who use it will see one for a key and take it. I kinda didnt see this when I made my suggestion, but I think that you can still get it for a key. I got one for a key within a few hours
You can still get it for a key cause this site suggests a key. You can also probably find someone selling it for 1.33 cause tf2spreadsheet lists it as 1.33.
Also in your suggestion you said you sold it for 2 keys- similar to the last one I sold. In fact the two I've sold in the last few days were for more than a key.
Buying crate 19 for a key, add me.
The thing about crates is that there is a huge range you can buy and sell at. Crates are the only item in the game where this happens consistently. Some people find no value in them and sell for cheap and some charge ridiculous amounts they will never get. Some buyers will buy cheap, but those same buyers will also pay for overpriced crates if they really wanna unbox them. The problem is, if we price crates (19 for example) using the range you can buy them at (I've bought for as little as a weapon and as high as 3 ref), then a lot of people will just see that high value of 3 ref and try to sell their crates for 3.33 or 3.66. This in turn will mean that those buyers who used to buy for no more than 3 ref will not be buying at 3.66 or 4 ref and the cycle continues until all the desired crates cost 10 keys (maybe an exaggeration). But still.. the prices for all crates NEED to stay the same in order to stop these trends from occurring unless there is a HUGE (and I mean huge) increase of the prices of the crates contents. Downvote if you want to stop the crate world from spinning out of control.
Yeah... I know a lot about crates, so what? :P
People try to sell everything for more than pricelist, not just crates
also you haven't said what you sell crate 19 for
Also if you people look, the user Ace Of Crates offered 3.11 ref for my crate 19 in the #2 link. Yet he's here on my price suggestions trying to downvote an increase.
Would you rather me set the price at 3.11 (cause clearly you were offering me exactly what you think it's worth) or are you now just trying to prevent having to pay more?

He also has a buyer that "buys for 2 keys".
Hell, people do pay 2 keys: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5432306
