Haha, they accepted that last post with a score of 1? Silly backpack.tf.. Seriously though, this will get downvoted because you have to show that people are buying for your price, not just that that's what people like to sell at.

Not the score that matters. Puddinghead provided proof that there were Str. Kritz going for the suggested pricing.

The voting system is really just to reward people who are honest and knowledgeable about prices. People who base their votes on personal opinion that does not agree with the market will quickly find themselves in the negative and unable to make price suggestions. That is how we intend the reputation system to work.

Yep that's not true that majority is always right.

@Derakusa I provided evidence that the suggested price was correct. That is why I accepted it.

What would you have me do? Ignore the evidence and reject his price?

@Tyrion: Off-topic here, but the latest key change to 2.66 was accepted with -121 score.

Still, I'm giving a neutral here. Why? You didn't include what people are looking to buy it for. I checked on TF2OP and found lots of unusual offers, and one guy offered to sell his S. Kritzkrieg for 40 keys. I also already closed the tab for that trade and the trade is still active.

@|[DB]| Juze I believe it was Brad who accepted the 2.66 price for keys. If you have questions about that, then you will have to speak to him. My guess would be that he saw evidence that keys were selling for 2.66 refined without any trouble.

Trading post even worse than outpost... half of trades- quicksales, Also lot of "1 weapon for buds pls pls pls pls" trades, so it's not a good source.

                  Gunslinger- rised

                  Machina- rised

                  Salvaged crate 30- rised

                  Kritz-falled

                  How da heck?

@Derakusa I'm not gonna try to explain why a price rose or fell. All I can say is that the evidence supported the price, so I accepted it.

This is an example of how not to suggest a price. That said, the first suggestion shouldn't have been accepted.

                        Chancellor Puddinghead I apologize

You don't have to apologize. I understand people have different opinions about how prices should be determined. The way we do things here at backpack.tf might not agree with everyone, but we have our system that we have to follow.

It's intresting that the item that started the salvege speculator boom, is droping

Probably since everyone is desperate for keys to unbox those unusuals ^^

These things aren't going to rise until infinity, contrary to every person on Outpost thinking this. If the price increase doesn't match the demand of them, people just wont buy them.

Score isn't the sole judgement of whether a vote passes or not. I suggested the price of a Uncraft. Hatless Scout for 0.66, since no one was selling for less at the time, and I sold mine for 0.55 within 5 views, because someone obviously thought it was a bargain at the time.

Here's one that sold for 40 keys

                                http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5246036

Everyone else on Outpost is asking (but not getting) 45 keys.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5001276 - nothing less than 45 my ass

                                http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5461493 - several Salvaged stranges

Here's an example of the demand not matching the supply. The more expensive stranges don't get bought, because many people can't afford it, and those that can, want it for less.

Sold mine for 50$ within an hour on sourceop

"So I don't care that I have this item"

                                    red flag

outpos is filled with high ballers

So these are the only ones i could find currently on op that were sold over the current price range.

                                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5676851 ($50)

                                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5255998 (45k)

                                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5459488 (2buds)

Seems the market is coming down and 40 is the average selling price currently. So downvoting this unfortunately.

Hmm most people who are downvoting this just don't have s.kritz and they just wanna buy it cheaper. And Androgynous said that one sold with 40 keys right? But is there ANYONE who would sell it for 37 keys. If there is then show me the proof. No way anyone sell it for 37 keys. 42 Is fair price at the moment. You can lower it after that for 40-42.

I'm not going to speculate on a reason for this price drop, but if I were, it would have to do with constantly upping the price by 2 keys every day, hoarding tons of these, making fake offers on outpost, refusing to sell outside of sets, and refusing to set reasonable buyouts that are not 1.5-2 times market value.

Of course that's all just speculation, but this item isn't worth 50 keys any more than the G. Archimedes is worth 30. Just because a bunch of owners go around saying "don't let it go for less than 2 buds" doesn't mean that there's actual demand to match. You wanted an investment, but created a bubble. Now the price has to suffer.

Or just delete your suggestion since I've not seen any sold for 42. Of course everyone wants to get it for cheaper, because it's damned fucking expensive. That's how supply and demand works. Look at how many unsold Kritzkriegs there are on OP. Because people can't afford the sellers overpriced buyouts.

Look at the accepted 37-41 keys suggestion by clicking on the comments button, Puddinghead has shown some trades asking for 40 keys and one for the equivalent of 38 keys, trades which have actually gone through, as opposed to your mythical 42 key B/O

SUPRISE SUPRISE Androgynous don't have this item and he is desperate for looking for trades which is under 42 keys. OMG. You just don't have it and want it to fall only because you will get it cheaper then. ADMIT IT. And btw 1 is not good score to accept if market don't have any of this price. And what can we do if person just don't have enoght, I don't have enoght for cloudy moon anger 2, what I want, but the price of cloudy moon can't fall cause of that I can't afford it, right? And btw Subtlefuge I am using mine kritz, I won't sell it anyways :). I didn't buy it for an investment.

@ Derakusa, no reason to be hostile. I wasn't talking about you specifically, just tons of the owners out there. When you rapidly inflate a price of an item, eventually the number of people who can afford or are willing to buy dry up. You still get people who will buy at ridiculously high prices because they are afraid of the price going up even more (like what happened with the BMOC), but in order to maintain liquidity you have to have a price that a large majority of the buyers are willing to pay.

Items are not worth any more than they are sold for. S. Kritzes are being listed for more, but hundreds of buyers, like Androgynous are still looking for them at around 35-37 keys. They aren't lowballers, they are the buyers. The buyers have the power, and they really aren't willing to pay 42+

                                                  It's a downvote.

tons of owners? Are you kidding me. Only 3851 in a world, since there is about 2 mln players in tf2. Huntsman owned by 1000 people more and this is rising even then if crate 50 is not out yet. And btw buyers would pay more if the price woulded be 45 keys, they would pay 40 keys then, which is normal.

I have a strange kritz that I want to be worth multiple souls, but even I'm downvoting this because the others are right. As much as people might ask for, hardly anyone actually buys this high.

Also, I wouldn't trust you on that "kritz=/=investment item" blurb. Not after you display your desperation in the comments section here. On top of that, you essentially say that the opinions of clearly knowledgeable people are stupid.

Try again when you don't actually have one, when you have real proof of actual sales for this price, and when you can show some maturity.

These are the only ones on Outpost with buyouts below 42 keys. Three of them are less than a day old, so aren't really reliable to go by. The one with a 38 keys buyout already has someone waiting to buy it, but the seller is offline.
