There is practically no demand for this item. I bought 2 for 1.33 ref each and ended up having to sell them back to people at 1.33 each a week later after no luck selling them in a week for anything more than 1.33.
There are lots of people selling higher than 1.33 on outpost without buyers and lots of buyers buying under 1 ref without sellers. There seems to be hardly any of these sold recently on outpost and the ones that are getting sold are between 1-1.33 ref.
Just very low demand for this.

I have to vote yes, there is no way this item is 2 ref. I tried for days to sell two at 2 ref. Eventually sold for 1.66 ref.
Maybe 1.33-1.66 would have been more accurate, but whatever.
I tried for 1.66 for about 3 days on outpost after I started with 1.88, no one was interested. Offered on trade servers 1.66-2 ref for the past week and no one wanted it, lots of people will pay 1 ref though on servers cause they kept offering to pay me that.
I think the current upper range of 2 ref is too high, but sorry, I'm going to downvote this because I think people really will pay 1.66 ref for them, so I'd suggest 1-1.66 ref is more accurate
It's actually really easy to find people offering 1.66 ref recently.

disclaimer: I have a 3 or 4 of these, which I'm not selling because I expect the price to rise higher in the next few months. You can see from my trade history at TF2OP that I've never attempted to sell them
I think 1.33 - 1.66 would be better too, the 1 ref things are some kind of quicksells in my opinion.
only reason I didn't put 1-1.66 is I'd been trying really hard to sell it at 1.66 for a few days and everyone was offering 1 ref or 1.33 instead. I couldn't sell it at all at 1.66, that why I had to resell them both for 1.33 each which was what I paid for.
Try to sell one for 1.66 and if you can sell it, then post your link or show proof and I'll close the price suggestion. But the demand for this is awful and it's really hard to sell for more than 1.33.
Your 1st link the guy offered to sell his for 1.66 1 week ago which isn't true to current market prices.
Your second link show the guy sold his black box for Strange part, low-health kills, which is 0.66 not 1.66
Yeah, you're right about the second link. I guess I copied and pasted the wrong one or the offer I was looking at was hidden, so ignore that. Sorry.
But you can't simply ignore evidence just because it's one week old, unless you can present a convincing reason why the price of this would have changed so much in one week. It's not a new item with a rapidly-changing price.
And, no, as I already said, I expect the price to rise in the long term, so I'm obviously not into wasting time and money selling one of these at 1.66 ref right now :/ (though I accept that it wouldn't sell fast)

The fact that one guy couldn't sell his S black box for even 1.33 for a whole week is good evidence that everything above 1.33 is a bit high right now. Some people are even selling them with a Strange part for 1.33, which is crazy if the price should be more than that. Most of these are getting sold very fast within 1-1.33, though some aren't getting sold even in this range. Few are being sold outside this range.
Potato, I'm sorry, you have 3 S black box's and I just can't help but think you're worried about losing money here. Your 4th link you sent, the guy offered 1.66 a week ago, but no sell was made. It's the same link as your 1st link last time.
your last link you sent, shows a guy offering 1.33 but the seller says 1.66 and he agrees, this seems like a quickbuy cause he's desperate to get one.

Also when my S blackbox was on outpost for a whole week, it only got 70 views and I was bumping it constantly. The supply is low for this item, but no one really wants to buy it either.

I'd prefer to just let the evidence speak for itself, but I cannot allow baseless ad hominem accusations like this to go unanswered. Your accusation is extremely insulting, unsupported by any proof whatsoever, and also totally irrelevant.
I've had those Strange Black Boxes in my backpack for more than 5 MONTHS, and never attempted to trade them: (http://backpack.tf/item/539040718).
Do you really think that in a backpack worth more than 1200 ref, I would suddenly become concerned about a potential loss in value of about 1 ref, for items that I am not even selling...? Not to mention that fact that I am also trying to reduce the price of the strange black box, in my own price suggestion. Could you drop the meaningless ad hominem attacks and just focus on the evidence?

I just meant that you seemed unable to find any price over 1.33 ref, even thought there are plenty of them, so I had to do that for you. This is kind of irritating, since this is your price suggestion, not mine.
