Despite wanting the value to go up, I do want it to be a legitimate value as that doesn't help anyone if it isn't.
I'm going to remain neutral...using other unusuals to price another is a bit iffy. I would have definitely agreed with 3 buds, but that upper-bound of 3.5 is a little far of a reach.
@ Ol' Saint Nick - I think that is a legitimate point, because I don't know how good the value is on the Stormy Storm Pickelhaube. Unfortunately, when you are trying to lock down a price range on something that there are only five of you kind of have to use the sources you have at hand. I know the previous price looks as if it came from an old post at TF2 price check, and that seems more based upon opinion than an actual trade.
Unfortunately, this trade was the only other solid info I could find on it. Looking at the trade where the buyout was 4 buds, it seems like the offer would be inline with this as the seller seemed to at least consider it and put it in his current offers. Honestly when I saw the guy put up a 4 bud buyout I thought he was up in the night, but then I saw that offer and it got me thinking that he was closer than the current price we have here.
Would love to hear more thoughts and opinions on this one if people have any info on it. I just don't have a lot to go off at the moment.
It's interesting, the person who had originally uncrated the unusual in your link seems to have bought it back, or at least has it in his possession again. He then immediately put it up for trade again and closed it: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5898323. It makes me suspicious, but none the less, the person offered what they offered, and I see your point in raising the price to that price range.
P.S.: I'm assuming you know this, but just in case: if you click the item in tf2outpost, it will tell you all the previous owners of that item.
