Links show clearly, owners of keys are trying desperately to ride the halloween key inflation even after halloween ends, people who need keys are trying to lower back down to it's "usual" price. Newsflash, halloween ended, keys were high becuase everyone wanted those rare effects, no reason for high priced now, is there? I think we all know that no-one will ever buy a key for 3 refined (unless really desperate) making that a price too high, noted that people are unwilling to buy for 2.88, but will still buy for that price makes that a good "high point" while 2.66 pretty much guarantees a quick sale, making it a perfect "low point". This price was made after long market analysis and, regardless of what happens here, keys will drop back to it's pre-halloween price.
Stop changing this price. Please. It doeasnt matter 2,66-2,88 or 2,66-3
So, it doesn't matter if people are out there trying to sell these keys for 3 refined each when the market clearly is not buying for that price? If people won't pay 3 refined, no point it leaving the price as 2.33 refined to 3 refined. Backpack.tf should be based on the current community/market price, 3 refined is starting to feel like a buyout price, not a payable price.
At the morning some people will buy it for 3 ref, later nobody and you will be changeing price every half day? Its good range, you will never get ideal price.
The mann co supply crate key was stable at 2.55-2.66 for months before the halloween update, people only price keys high because they wanted to unbox, halloween is over, no more halloween effects, no high demand for keys, prices will drop whether this price changes or not, we can't stop it.
I kept getting keys at 2.88 from my key minions that bought them at 2.77. Anyway just cuz Halloween is over doesn't mean the key surplus is restocked from 331,000 back up to 400,000. Key price will always remain high.
If you're buying them at 2.88, you are getting them for within the suggested price range here.
In any case, true, they won't restock quickly, but people aren't exactly going to be going on unboxing frenzys 24-7 now, prices aren't exactly going to fluctuate according to how many there are in existence. I don't see a shortage of keys on outpost or any other trading site. People need to know that their keys aren't going to sell at 3 refined; that's the main point of this thread, everybody's sick and tired of people offering up their keys for 3 ref. I've had enough, I'm pretty sure everyone looking to buy keys has had enough as well. The price needs to be put back down into a constant price, or at least back into realistic proportions.
And about key prices remaining high, that's only going to happen if people start buying keys for 3 ref (again), otherwise, I don't see any reason for the price to stay up there, the market will saturate quickly and soon those 3 ref key prices will be laughed at.
In fact, they're already being laughed at occasionally.
People are selling at 3.00 though. I sold 5 to one person and 3 to another just last night. No one needs to "take initiative" this site is not used to set prices only reflect current market trends.

Your link 2 shows a seller, successfully selling keys at 2.88 + 1 weapon. Your range is lower than that. :O
Anyhow, if you go to http://tf2finance.com/keys you will see that the current average price is around 2.8 ref, which your range doesn't indicate at all. The current range is wider and offering far more accuracy.
