Just submitted this a day ago doubt they'll accept this.

Prices change fairly quickly for some items. Nobody is buying these things for 3 ref. Haven't seen an accepted trade in 2 days for 3 ref.

As much as I'd love to upvote this... I really can't.

Your links, as follows:

Link 1: Seller > Selling for 2.88 each, first buyer is willing to pay 3 ref each, others are adding as soon as the trade got bumped. 1 hour old.

Link 2: Seller > Selling for 2.88 each but sold out. Back when keys were 2.66 ref each, I never saw a seller "sold out". This usually means people are desperate and that was the best deal they could find. Meaning prices are still not at 2.88,

Link 3: Seller: Selling at 2.88 ref each. 9 minute old trade, not much to say. No posts.

Link 4: Buyer/Seller: Altruism. Buying at 2.77 and reselling at 2.66 ref each. An outlier and shouldn't be used as proof.

Link 5: Seller: 2.88 ref each. Sold out.

Sorry, but these aren't very solid "proofs". I see buyers still buying at 2.77. They wouldn't do this unless there was profit, aka, a 1 to 2 scrap profit which the current price indicates.

The purpose of my "proofs" were to show that keys are indeed being sold for less than 3 refined. These are all sellers within the last day that are selling for less than 3 refined. I do not see your point? The difference between this suggestion and the current price is what my proof is targeting. I am knocking off the 3 at the end, the other prices like 2.77 have already been proved in the last suggestion that was accepted. My evidence is a perfect example.

I'm just saying that there are still sellers for 3 ref and the ones sold for under 3 ref are sold out really fast.

The current range is adequate.

Everyone is selling for 3 ref, but almost all the "buying keys for ref" trades on outpost are still wanting 2.55-2.77.

I just sold two keys for 2.88 pure within 10 minutes. It's 2am on a Monday. Haven't seen a seller for less than that in over a week. I think the price should be more like 2.88-3 if anything.

3 ref is NOT in the range,this is the point.

Everyone is selling for 3 ref,which NO ONE buys after halloween rush is over.People arent in a rush to unbox anymore,hence can/and is waiting to get more keys with the metal in hand.

I fully support the price drop on these. It honestly makes no sense to me as to why they are still selling at such a high price of 3 Refined.

They were selling high because people wanted to unbox crates to try to get a Halloween Unusual. Now that that's over, they should drop again.

That is what I am saying, but it took longer than it should have for the price of them to drop.

3 ref is a price where there is no more incentive to craft 2 hats instead of 3 ref.

Now it's common to buy craft hats for 1.22-1.33 and craft them so it costs you 2.44-2.66 ref for a newly crafted hat. Thus it's also common to buy 2 hats for 1 key. If key gets to 3 ref, crafters will try to buy hats for metal which may result in higher prices, because they will have to compete with hatbankers.

Agreed. The rush is over, time to readjust.

Some of the 2.88 sellers got some nice stock, but it takes you some minutes to find one with more than 10 keys (usually).

There are still soo many 3 refs trades out there, on the first search page I'd say more than 2/3 of them want 3 refs, but I can't say if they are still selling successfully. I will stay neutral for now.

I'm really on the fence with this one.

What I do know is that keys for 2.88 sell very quick, but whether that is because it's considered a good price or because too many people are asking for 3 Ref, I can't tell.

Actually, 2.77 sales aren't hard to find on outpost anymore. 2.66 sales are mostly all out of stock the but the 2.77s are plentiful.

Considering the successful number of 2.88 sales I think that Donadio's comment is false and misleading.

false and misleading? Man, I have keys too, for me they can worth 50 refineds... wonderfull! But Im just writing my point of view. A key should worth 2.66 ref, not 3 ref. Its a fair price, I think so. But if everybody accept 3 refineds, okay... Im just writing what I think. lol...

That's the problem, sir. The suggestions aren't based upon opinions, they are based on cold hard facts.

I bought 10 keys yestarday for 2.66 each. Everybody that I know say that this new price doesnt make sense... Its just because people want to unbox. Now halloween is over and the price will come back to normal. Thats the reason I bought at 2.66 yestarday and you will see in next weeks... Anyway, my vote is my vote. You can downvote and we will see who is right... Probably you will, but I at least told my suggestion. Have a nice day.

I upvoted because of the facts, not because I wanted to. I also bought at 2.66, but "must be" is a pretty bold statement for a price.

its unfortunate that we cant include real-time trading prices.. i bought 9 for 2.50 refined and 3 ifor 2.55. been seeing many going for 2.55-2.66; but how would i ever prove a real time trade???

1. Lowering the key price on this site is not going to affect anything. Just wanted to clear that up.

2. The fact that key sellers at 2.77 and 2.88 are sold out is not proof that the price is higher than that. Keys are supposed to be traded at a high frequency and be very liquid. All of the 3 ref sellers have been bumping their trades dozens of times. If you ever have to bump a key thread once, you're above market price.

Keys are changing hands less frequently now, whether this price will stick or not is still undetermined, but for now it looks like the liquidity range of keys is 2.77-2.88, not 2.66 or 3 refined.

2.66 buyers and 3 ref sellers get occasional business, everyone else quickly gets what they want.

oh you would be suprised, ive asked people and the only reason there asking for 3 is because this site says so, people entirely go off of the prices on this site and its sending false information. 2.77-2.88 is to small of a range since ive seen tons of people selling and buying for 2.66 and i think most people would agree

That's not exactly true. People I know sell their stuff as bandwaggoners, seeing others selling for [x] value. I feel like we're arguing chicken vs egg now, but the reality is that this site is not required reading for everyone.

This is ultimately an echo. People use evidence to price, the price change therefore theoretically occurs before the suggestion.

That said, with key prices, they are traded at such an outrageous volume that you can't really provide solid evidence.

I've seen them go for 2.66-2.88 in the past week. Not 3ref.

well i dunno why the prices of keys raises but i think 2.66-2.88 is a good suggestion. at outpost they are all selling/buying keys at 2.66-2.88 so dont know any reason why this suggestion should be wrong

the keys keep a stable price at store so there is no reason to change the actual price

I can see there are a lot of available keys at 2.88, so I can agree with this price today.
