Link 1: Sold for 2.66
Link 2: Sold for 1 Key
Link 3: Selling for 1 Key, trade less than a day old, aka recent.
Keys are currently on an average of 2.7 ref according to tf2finance. Therefore, I don't agree with 2.66 for now. Maybe later.
Yeah, Key-prices aren't really stable yet since the event. Lots of people unboxed then, resulting in a higher demand for Keys, which leads to higher price. Now the that the event is over, unboxing-rates and therefore demand for Keys go back to (roughly) normal. So the price of Keys should soon stabilize again. I got by 2.66 because I found that to be the average/most common Metal-price asked by sellers, and the fact that Keys were roughly 2.66 each before the event iirc.
I'd agree if in the past, similar keys inflation deflated immediatly after the event causing these ended. But that didn't go quite like that : the fall key event brought keys from 2.44-2.55 to the 2.66 we could see before halloween. And keys deflated to only 2.55-2.66 (I may not be accurate on the time it took to do so though).
But then, we can't conclude from the past. You may be right!
You're probably right, most of the links in my accepted suggestion that sold for a key accepted 2.66 ref as well. Still, people are willing to pay 1 key though.
There's always exceptions, your price of a Key was also very fitting imo, but Metal seems to be a bit more representative for some reason. We'll see how it turns out, but if my price suggestion gets accepted, people would probably still ask/offer a Key too, it's mainly a matter of what looks better. A Key and a Key's worth of Metal is pretty much the same in most people's eyes, and my suggestion is only based on yours :)
