It's true, these things never sell for 14 keys at all. You're lucky to even find any at 15 keys as they usually sell for 16.

    Agreed. Upvote!

Post a WTB, I did and got one for 13 keys about two weeks ago. Actual evidence is fully necessary here. All trades given as proof are either not sold, C/O in current range or sold in the current range.

Submitter: find evidence of 16 key trades, please.

Check my BP, since I posted this I have sold one for over 15. 16 do get sold, it's at the higher end (hence high end), I posted thread(s) (I mislinked one on accident to just a search) where people turned down 16 key offers. You can buy them for 15 (from quicksellers), and there are people that will pay up to 16 and more in items for them when no one is selling at 15 since they aren't all that common.

Also, Xen, I'm sure you noticed that all promos took a bit of dip during halloween. There were people selling buds for 24 keys at one point for unboxing power. Since the update ended, buds, max's, and most other promos (except xmas stuff) have started coming back. I'm sure someone who bought buds two weeks ago for 24 keys would agree they're selling for 25-26.5 now. Keys are making their way back in to circulation and people are spending them again.

I just think you need to find actual trades at 16 keys in order to justify a price increase. It's not too much to ask, in fact it's the bare minimum to expect. Otherwise, why not suggest 15-15.5 instead?

You may be wrong or you may be right, but there has to be a significant amount of trades outside the current suggested price in order to bump this up.

I could list my Big Kill on Outpost for 16 keys; do you honestly think I will sell it for that?

4 days ago I got one for 8 keys and 17ref, and that was when keys costed more metal. Then again, that could explain why I got a good deal, with keys in high demand. Halloween WAS over though. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6097416

Anyway, in current prices (keys at 2.66) that equals 14 keys and 1 ref doesn't it. So I'd think 14 is still possible?

I didn't vote either way yet, hence the discussion post :)

Bleh, and I mean 14.5 is possible?

Everything is possible, it's not probable though- if that makes sense. If someone had a big kill and came here to look for what price to ask for it, this webpage had 14-15 keys. The user thought they must be correct, and posts up for 14 thinking it's a sort of fair quicksell. When in reality, he could have had plenty of success posting up for 16 keys and holding out for 16 or selling for 15.5 in most likely less than 1 day. The price does not reflect the current market for them, which I why I suggested it be changed. I don't suggest prices often, but the reason I did is so that if someone goes to sell one they don't sell it for 14 like I did lol.

Yes I think you are correct, and it might explain why I got mine for 14.5!

Also the 14.5 comment was posted earlier than the one above it, that'll teach me to stack comments!

14 may be still possible without a doubt, there are always people who price or sell things low if they need to be sold. We are trying to set accurate guidelines, you are a buyer who is aware of prices and purchased it because it was a good deal correct? A deal better than just about every other one on the market? Right? That's the way I buy, I still run in to keys at 2.55 but it's not a way to price them. If you wait long enough you could make a lot of deals, high and low but the point I'm trying to make it that overall these are more than 15 keys on average, some have sold for 16 (http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6069840) and many c/os around 16 are there. I am selling for 15 so I couldn't care less either way but I shouldn't be selling these nearly as fast for what is considered the top end of the price spectrum.

Oh yes I agree to the 16 Key upper limit. I'd seen a couple sell for that before I decided on my price. So I guess you're right, I picked a reasonable midrange for the PC at the time, after seeing it may be rising a bit. (and because it's awesome)

Cheers for helping me clear that one up in my 'ead.

I sold one for a strange sapper yesterday. Upvote

Alright to conclude this, it's an upvote.
