The best offer so far was a o. planets fruit shoot + stormy fro 2 weeks ago (worth around ~3.5 buds). Also this has a smaller range than the other suggestion and because there are many 2.5 buds unusuals offered it can't be that low. And I think the gap between smoking and steaming is not so big here. This is my first unusual suggestion, so any tips or comments are welcome.
that's a pretty big decrease... at your suggested price, it would be cheaper than all effects except fettis. the last link got a stormy storm le party phantom as an offer too...

That seems to be a good deal, since the steaming headpieces don't receive any other good offers over the weeks. Maybe this should be a bit higher though, but I set this a little bit lower than smoking. I see no problem with this being cheaper than all other effects, that's the matter on nearly all other miscs too (and remeber n&b).
It seems like a good deal, based on the other offers. Not much trading activity here though, so it's hard to pinpoint a specific price. Keep track of what happens with that phantom, because if it does get traded then we'll have an actual trade to work with for pricing. for now i'll hold my vote
He got that steaming headpiece on the 4th page as only thing with a value: And it's untradeable whyever and he is the first owner according to the item history. Suspicous thing...

update: so the first link sold his brainiac hairpiece, to this guy: http://www.tf2outpost.com/backpack/97825 for a vivid plasma safe n sound and searing plasma hotrod (no trade notes, but compare backpacks from before and after). if we take a rough estimate on those to be 2 buds each, then it's about 4 buds in unusuals
