no proof but yeah cancer item upvote
Proof is mainly personal experience intertwined with some logical reasoning. Uncrating-boom due to Halloween + Cancer status = been hard to sell for .33 Ref.
okay, here's a protip for item suggestions: go to outpost, search buyers and sellers, use those as proof links. also, bazaar and tp work as well. Also, screencap your inventory history showing you trading the item for this amount. Here, I'm going to help you with links:

Actually, this is a lot harder than I thought :s
I'm having a hard time finding trades where people are even selling them at all. The ones that do show people selling soldiers killed are from a minimum of 2 weeks ago. I found about 15 recent trades of people selling anywhere between .4-.6 and with nobody even touching it. I'm not even sure what to do here, can we just remove the price entirely? It seems like nobody is buying/selling it the past week from the looks of it :S Why is crate 45 still around?
This might actually be the first true cancer item, you get it, it's yours forever.
First off, I appreciate the tip. I'm brand spankin' new to Backpack.Tf and am only slowly picking up on their way of "proving" prices. Moving on; I disagree with your statement of removing the price altogether. I recently put a trade up on Outpost that includes the many different Strange Parts I received via my failed Halloween Unboxing spree. Among those were my Soldiers Killed (I have about 4). After a couple days(?) with no takers of everything being set at standard prices, I dropped the prices. With the Soldiers Killed at .22, I got a buyer that said he would take 2 of 'em fairly quickly. I will stand behind my price suggestion of .22-.33

yeah, I upvoted you, I'm just saying, it's pretty hard to sell, nobody really wants them, the guys that bought them probably did it because of the current backpack and spreadsheet prices say they could possibly get 2 rec out of them.
Upvoted. That crate has been dropping since forever, and people were unboxing hundreds of them every day during Halloween, I think.
I keep an eye on the stats for these, and backpack.tf shows about 5000 being added to the market in the last two weeks. That's about 2x or 3x the rate that they were being unboxed before Halloween. So if you're looking for a reason for the price to fall, there it is.
It certainly was really easy to get them for 1 rec, a week or so ago (I stopped buying because I was low on metal, short of storage space, and anticipated the price falling even more). http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5571657
Disclosure: I'm kind of biased, BTW. Although I already own a lot of these already, I'm happy for the price to go down, so I can buy more of them. Anybody selling for 0.22, you're welcome to contact me ;)
I do have a few I am selling for .22 Ref each. I'll add you :)
Er... OK, now we have evidence of 3 sold for 0.22 ref each :)
