Oh god here we go again.
well if anyone thinks that its worth a weapon than they can just post here, but anyone that comes here with a strange equalizer and thinks they are a weapon, then any arguement they have for it being a weapon is negated if they dont sell it for a weapon.
I don't think they sell at all is the point. Almost zero demand means you can only get 1 scrap for 2 of them.
I can't even be bothered disputing this any more. But I will say since that last suggestion I've bought 10 and crafted them into 5 scrap.
That's kind of strange (har har), why would you bother? Just to say you've crafted strange weapons? :)
but why not sell the stranges for .5 scrap if you really think that its worth a weapon... and I linked to a lot of people buying for a scrap each.
My task is to rid of them, not put them back in circulation. I bought them for a weapon and if I had to sell them, it'd be for a weapon.
I think the 0.05 listing is less meant to represent people selling for a random other weapon and more people just scrapping them rather than bothering to resell. I don't really see why people would bother otherwise.
Anyway, I can't remember a time where there wasn't at least a couple strange weapon buyers willing to buy them for a scrap, even when there's many other trades refusing to accept them.
Its a shme it has come to this its used to be the best soldier melee weapon in the whole game. But they fucked it up by separating. Its still a strange should not cost less then 1 scrap though.
I think Valve wanted to get rid of the damage gimmick on the old equalizer, but couldn't change a major feature of that weapon. So they split it, and the escape plan is a purified version of the equalizer. Just my $0.02
Link 3 has this in the notes,
"Edit: I have enough skullcutters and equalizers. I will now pay only 1 wep for skullcutter or equalizer. Everything else still 1 scrap."
I did receive one of these as "1 weapon" in a trade after I told the guy I wouldn't accept it as a scrap.
That said, the idea that strange equalizers are worth the same as regular equalizers cracks me up. I will upvote this and lose rep with you, Monkey.
