I've sold 5 keys recently at 3 refined each, and i've bought 4 keys at 2.66 + a weapon recently. I think this is completely plausible. I only wish that you included links and notes so that this would be accepted...

Perhaps some proof would be useful of keys being sold easily for 3.

Proof? It can still be bought for 2.66 ref in trade servers.

And just keep the range big so we can keep everyone happy. I'm sick of all these votes. Please backpack.tf disable all key votings for a while.

Wow i didn't realize this was such a big thing to propose a suggested price. Here ye here ye! I do not sell keys. Ever. For any price. I use them to buy things and i buy them. I'm simply relaying what i see them going for easily.

Where is your goddamn prooof? No one buys at 3 refined, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NOBODY. To pay 3 refined for a key, That person has to be mighty desperate to get one. The Halloween unusuals cannot be unboxed anymore, and the incentive to buy at that price is not there. No proof + no explanation - EASY DOWNVOTE. Next time, Einstein, actually try to support your own suggestion.

Price of keys in metal is the most sensitive variable is the whole of tf2 trading. Price of buds or bill's doesn't even compare coz the vast majority of people trade way below that level. Pretty much everybody is affected when keys move. If you had bothered to look at the history when making that suggestion you would have noticed keys have had 15 price votes in the last 5 days.

That you don't realise this is pretty much reason enough to downvote your suggestion. (Also, I think it's wrong, but that's whatever)

I've bought and sold keys for 2.66 and 2.88, offering metal at a conversion rate of 2.77 and almost always being accepted.

I have sold 6 craft hats at 2 for a key with a listed metal price for 1.33 per hat.

I've also bought 2 unpainted bills at 22 ref each, or ~2.77 per key.

Similarly, I've also bought a white bills for 26 ref, and a black bills for 27 ref.

ALL these trades happened in the last 2 days. I don't see proof at all. Downvote.

Again, i simply wanted to test out how the system works. I thought that it would just be a unanimous decision. I didn't realize that people were so rude. I do not sell keys so i have no reason to profit from a raise in the price. Before now, i had no idea how this system worked. I have considered buying keys at 3refined several times because it proves to be less difficult in some cases. I think you all should take a step back and look at this again, i'm sorry that i am inexperienced with the inner workings of this site. I was, in no way, attempting to make any profit or do any harm to anyone. I simply thought that anyone was able to voice their opinion on prices here and that's why this site was so great. This experience, if anything, has taught me that sadly this site is no different from any other associated with tf2. Full of people who assume the worst of everyone and who are rude, mean and inconsiderate without any sort of information to go off of. I'm really rather disappointed. I had really hoped that this was a sort of friendly collaboration. I can see now that it is no better than any other method of judging the price of items and is more hostile than helpful. I will not discourage, but warn others that this is not a friendly place and that opinions without solid proof are not welcome and are seen as evil acts. I am rather upset this was not what i hoped it to be but alas, it was too good to be true, as the saying goes. Happy gaming to you all and think about how badly you portray people and their motives before knowing anything about them, in the future.

You seriously should of looked around the site and checked how everything works before you tried making a suggestion. If you saw the difference in price suggestions between those who posted proof and those who just posted some random price, you'll see that the random pricers get the most hate from the community. If you believe the price to be 2.77 - 3 ref thats ok, but you need to back it up with proof, otherwise the community is gonna be hatin'. You have no right to call the community "rude, mean, and inconsiderate" because you're new to the site, and didn't look through the site thoroughly. If you don't like the community, then get out.

I'm sorry to say this is the internet, not every single person is going to be happy friendly, especially on this subject matter. Also I don't doubt you just buy the keys and them use them to buy other things, but without proof of the fact people will not believe you. Keys are probably the most touchy thing (other than unusuals) in trading. People will call you mean names and say that this is stupid. BUT SO WILL MOST OF THE NORMAL WORLD IF YOU DO THIS SORT OF THING IN REAL LIFE.

Selling keys at 3 refined when there is no special event/update going on is pointless, theres only a handful of people in the entire economy desperate enough to pay that kind of price. Its like all the plain Bill's Hat sellers trying to get 10 keys each, it just doesn't happen enough to include it in the price range. Pretty easy downvote in my opinion.
