People pay more 'cause it looks good, not because it's rare.
We need more evidence.
People pay more for max head because it's rare, not because it's cool.
Another example ?
I mean for this fist. Find me some evidence and I'll consider it.
The economy had never been based on "it's look good" or "mfg dat ugly dumbass", it's based on the rarity of the item. Like in the real world.
And this misc is common.
By that logic, the stupid "Robots killed on Halloween" part should cost like 4 HOUWARS since there are only about 80 of them.
Yép.
But there, we are talking about an useless cosmetic item and not a strange part who counts the kills.
an economy based on cosmetic items isn't based on what looks good... wat o_0
presented like that, it seems a paradox.
But i was not talking about the cosmectic item in THE REAL WORLD, who has not based on rarity.
Your english comprehension is lacking.
the "economy based on cosmetic items" teddy was refering to is the tf2 economy.
Think about it, how many traders are still interested by the weapons ? (the yellow ones, the orange are again all about status, ergo cosmetics)
The price is decided by both supply and demand, if a misc is common than that means it has a lot of supply but that doesn't tell you anything about demand. This is considered a nice misc and therefore has a lot of demand too. Current price is fine, unless you can show some evidence.
and people pay more for apple products because they're rare, not because they're cool. oh wait...
Alot of people buy max's because it's.. as they would put it "their favorite hat in the game.", I have heard this countless times.
Also do you really need another example for why people are downvoting you..? .. ok..
These people have provided plenty of reasons why they are downvoting your suggestion.. And here it is in the most simpilist ways i can say it..
Maybe you should provide proof of this item selling at the price your listing instead of just arguing that your price is correct because your studying economics.. or arguing the price of other items not even related to your price suggestion...You sound like a complete moron...
PS. Max's used to be worth more than they are now.
max heads are sweet as fuck :p
lol nope, just downvote. You don't understand pricing.
You should be studying economics, and then we may be talking to the same level.
You really want to go into this conversation man? I am in economics that's why 59 out of 60 price suggestions I have made have been accepted because I know what I am doing. There is a little site called tf2outpost.com where you can go and find evidence to help support your bad price suggestion.
tf2outpost.com ?
That gang-bang of scammer? Don't made me laught, please...
You can laugh all you want, but without any evidence all you have is your self-righteous campaign that is based solely on the thought that because this misc is so common it should be worth a craft hat. Do you know the driving determinant of demand that effects the prices in Team Fortress 2? It is the tastes and preferences of buyers. Supply is not a determinant of demand, the two do not directly effect each other; they just play on the same playground. By your logic let me list some miscs that should be worth multiple times more than the Purity Fist because they are rarer.
Using numbers based off of http://stats.tf/cat/misc.
Purity Fist count: 58,575
Your logic: 1.33 ref || Current: 1.77 ref
Couvre Corner count: 8,074 (7 times more than Purity Fist)
Your logic: 9.33 ref || Current: 1.33 ref
Stocking Stuffer count: 8,150 (7 times more than Purity Fist)
Your logic: 10.88 ref || Current: 1.55 ref
Photo Badge count: 9,179 (6.5 times more than Purity Fist)
Your logic: 8.66 ref || Current: 1.33 ref
Conclusion: Your logic is flawed. Team Fortress 2 is trading based on aesthetics. That means it is more effected by people's personal tastes and preferences, not how many of them exist.
by your logic headcases should be more than HOWARs coz they're more rare yet theyre actually half the price, downvote
ITT, an OP who's living in a world where supply is the only price decider regardless of demand...
Easy downvote
Someone doesn't seem to understand how the TF2 economy works.
Also by his logic: Uncraftable batter's helmets are worth less than uncraftable phlogistinators because uncraftable batter's helmets are more common.
Do I also need to explain the concept of supply and demand?
people like this misc and have no problem paying over 1.44 for it.
easy downvote
*facepalm*
Oh god my sides...
uhm, heck no
Downvote, no evidence is given to why this nice misc should be lowered and just by reading what Baloo said backs up the fact that the price shouldn't be changed especially as its being suggested to be lowered
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Silly OP, this is why we cant have nice things.
