Im trying to sell one, and looks pretty impossible :|
I had no problem selling for 1.55 the other day, I'm sure 1.66 is still possible.
I have not sold a clean MtM taunt in a long time, but I know that dirty taunts sell quite easily for 2 reclaimed. I think anything less than 1 ref for the clean variant would be a quick sale, so I agree with the bottom range anyways. It would be nice to see some proof of multiple sellers willing to take that little for it though. Saving my vote until further evidence is given.
See my post for that evidence
TF2OP shows 400+ sellers and only about 30 buyers. That's really low demand compared to the supply. Probably too many people are asking for prices which are too high, based on inaccurate price guidance, so they're not moving and just piling up at TF2OP.
There are quite a few people selling these really cheap, for 1 ref or even less, during the last week. That supports the idea of a cut in the price range, I think. Upvoted.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6067959 (1 sold for 0.77 ref, and some also selling for 1 ref)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5392131 (probably sold for 0.55)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/4804986 (sold for only 0.55 ref, maybe? but price could have been edited)
Thanks for the evidence, looks like a good range then.
These are quick-sells. Buyouts are almost never 1 ref, sometimes 1.33 which sell fairly fast, and most frequently 1.66 ref, which do sell. Buyouts over 1.66 do not sell. A range of 1-1.66 might make more sense because it would catch most trades and put the mean at 1.33, which is probably the price most sell at.

The problem I have with this kind of evidence, is that it doesn't prove beyond reasonable doubt that they got 1.66 for them. Yes, it shows they were asking for 1.66, and it shows that the item has been deleted from the trade, but we don't know what the buyer offered. (We don't even know for sure that they sold it, without checking the history)
To show what I mean, look at the third link, for example.
Max is asking for 1.66
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6264655
The item history shows the item went to LITE992*
http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/1103208364
In Max's backpack, I can only find 1 ref from LITE992, with other items immediately after it, which suggests that he may have really only received one ref.

This doesn't prove he sold it for 1 ref, but it doesn't prove he sold it for 1.66 either. A lot of this kind of evidence has this problem
True, most of the 'evidence' on this site suffers the same problem. I've changed my vote because this probably will get passed, it being 'truer' than the current range. I still think a range of 1-1.66 would be more suitable though.
Yes, getting solid evidence from TF2Outpost trades is difficult
I've begun asking people on TF2OP to post a comment before they add me, even when they're paying the b/o price - so it can be used as evidence here.
An excellent idea. We should start noting in our trades when we sell something too. e.g.
Taunt: Meet the Medic - 1.66 ref
... then
Taunt: Meet the Medic - 1.66 ref- SOLD for 1.33 refI have no idea why the 1.33-1.66 ref suggestion accepted, I'm pretty sure mine (0.66-0.88 ref) shows how low they went and that they were not "artificially lowered". I'm pretty sure it's impossible to sell for more than 1.33 ref when so many are selling at that price, even below. Definite upvote.
Got erased instead of edit^
Well I think it can fetch 1.66 it's just that so many of these and those who want have them already. Like 1 month ago 3 dropped in a row for me lol
I think they have a high drop rate like with name tags
But I kinda agree with this suggestion
While this is probably a rarity, there are people willing to pay the current price apparently: http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=8664367
