Obviously not many have been crafted yet, but has already reached the >100 mark. The first link had offers ranging from 7 refined - 4.5 keys. Why am I pricing it at my price range then? That question was answered when I saw the trade in the second link. He was offered around 4 - 7.5 keys. Taking the middle ground of that would be around 5.75 keys. So I think that this price range is a good range. None of the numbers in the linked trades hold any importance as they are both over 100.
Mask #120: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6434066 Traded for 4-5 keys.
Mask #133: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6458721 Asking for 5 keys
Mask #168: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6483404 For those of you saying the price is too high.
Mask #166: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6481791 C/O of 5 keys
Mask #149: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6470174 Asking for ~5 keys
Mask #159: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6472682 C/O of 6 keys
i still think its to early cuz poeple are still over pricing there craft 205 or craft 147
but if this goes though it a starting price
This is just a starting price. Everything needs a beginning. Also, I thought I explained my reasoning pretty clearly, too.
Too early too tell, Also the demand is what makes the price, not the rarity. So we gotta wait for buyers
Like I said, this is just a starting price. And did you look at the trades? There are buyers, and they are willing to pay the prices within my price range.
I think it's a bit too soon to put a price on it, gotta wait until most of the craft numbers on these get 1000+ and regular so it settles to a set price, since your links just show people with mildly low crafts. 3.75-5 keys is seemingly reasonable, but I do think we could wait a couple more weeks.
Better to NOT have a price than to have a misleading price because we weren't sure.
This price range is of the item as it is right now. As the links have shown, a higher than 100 number gives no extra value to an item; mildly low isn't enough, it has to be lower than 100 to have any extra value. Waiting a couple of weeks isn't how prices work; prices on backpack.tf are supposed to reflect the item's current price. As the links show, this right now is the current price (and also a beginning price). In addition to the previous statements, how long were you planning to wait? 1 week? 3 weeks? The time when the numbers of this item reach 1000+ is still far off because after the initial crafting spree, there's no incentive to craft because the numbers are higher than 100. Crafting of the item has in fact slowed down, because on the first day, the first 100 were crafted. The second day, the highest number I saw was 120. Finally, accepted prices have been submitted a few days after an item's release, not a few weeks. In addition, this price is here because that is what I concluded from my research.
"a higher than 100 number gives no extra value to an item." Wait... what? You're disregarding 9001, 666, 1337, 111, 222, 333 (ect)?
#111 is over 100, had a C/O of White bill's and sold quickly with a 'b/o 8 keys' at the bottom. And you think it should be 3.75-5 still? You contradict yourself.
There are always exceptions. I know 9001 and 1337 numbered hats will be worth more, I was making a general statement. You do not need yo point out specific numbers. And, you listed #111 as sold for a white bills? Do some research before you talk. Clicking on the item in the closed trade, I find that it is still in the owner's possesion. Clicking on the owner's name brings us to alist of his open trades. I find that he bas not sold the mask and is in fact selling it for 6 keys. And of cours some people may try to sell items outside of the price range. I just found the average of the offers I saw and made it the price range.
Meh, I'm too tired to bother arguing with it. I'm just gonna go neutral and wish you luck.
Ok. Though it really isn't my luck, it's just a price. :P
how much is 0.75 of a key?
2.66 ref is 8 rec. Can you figure it out on your own from there ?
i guess but ive never heard of anyone referring to 0.75
The site doesn't allow to set a price as an addition of 2 different currencies. Fine tuning has to be done with fractions of the chosen currency.
Though since we're talking about a crafted hat the currency of choice should have been metal. Not a big deal though, even if accepted this price will be obsolete and replacd in a few days.
Personally I think this price suggestion is set too high.
Two to three Mann Co. Supply Crate Keys, and from that suggestion it should go either up, down, or remain stable.
Have proof?
I think this is a little too much for a hat that has reach the mark of the #100 craft numbers too fast. I see this as 2 to 3.
Every hat reaches the #100 mark really fast, and then slows down quite a bit after that.
this is a bit too high, its getting easier to buy genuine for this price range. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6485884
and genuine at 4 http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6487006
Sometimes, the genuine items are of equal price with the unique items. Such as the Awesomenauts Badge and several of the Total War items.
And also, in your listed links, the masks sold very quickly.
thats true, i think the craft mask will be up there in price for a while until there are a good number of crafts for it.
