I have personally sold these at 1 scrap before. (easily) Too long ago to include.

But sellers sell at 1 weapon and buyers buy at 1 weapon.

Some sellers have sold for 1 scrap and one sold out at 2 scrap

I went to go out and buy a new hard drive so there was a large gap between this and the one i closed today

Not according to your trade. You buy them at 2 per weapon.

And I have sold this scrap and so have others. And others bought for 1 weapon and sold at 1 weapon.

Well actually I just changed it a couple days ago I was buying 8 per scrap before that with plenty success but I just wanted to bump it a little to see if I would possibly get more. Looks like I get them at the same rate though. These crates are useless and people selling know it.
