Analysis of links:

Link 1: Listed for 5 scrap which is still in current range, and hasn't sold in 3 days. To be fair though he has not bumped his trade since he has posted it.

Link 2: Closed, but it has an offer from Mr. Al Freddrickson of "7 scrap with some weps for the spaceman pin" After looking in the backpacks of both it is clear that the deal was not done though because it is still in the traders backpack.

Link 3: Closed, listed for 6 scrap which is still the upper bound of current price. Item has been traded.

Link 4: 2 days ago Mr. Al Freddrickson again offered, but this time for: "8 scrap and few weps for the space pin". The item was traded, but still not to Mr. Al Freddrickson.

Conclusion:

I will need to look into this more, but it appears as though there is a possible price manipulation going on. It looks as though Mr. Al Freddrickson simply wants the item and does not know the value, but there could be some deeper factors at play. I do not agree with this suggestion based on the analysis I have done, but again I will look into it.

I think it's fairly clear these are easy to get for .66--as Baloo pointed out there's no shortage of unsold ones at .66, and Mr. Al's offers weren't completed and don't provide sufficient proof for your suggested upper range.

The .33 might deserve some raising, but this item isn't craftable and is available as a part of two humble bundles. The mentioned .55 sales fall inside the current range.
