Only been active 3 days and it has 4 maybe 6 trades...not bad I guess...Gonna look for a little more though.
I think this is plausible, but I'm not going to vote yet. These are about the same price as a Backpack Expander (without Valve selling them at 20% off), but not as useful (IMO).
Still, if you gathered some more proof, I would upvote this.

Sorry, I don't think its at 2 keys quite yet. Everyone is paying 3 keys exactly, but no more and no less.
I´m a little bit disapointed of what is going on here on backpack.tf. Here are the most suggestion came from sellers for seller... no buyer will confirm your prices. the first thing is.. the buyer are not here.. because they wantz to play the game and not to vote on prices.
And the Backpack expander is the best example for that. At first there are no new votes on the old Backpack expander which gets the update to 2000 slots for three days which is in sale with 20% off. The last vote on that is Accepted 19 days ago ( http://backpack.tf/vote/id/509921b8ba2536be18000000 ) with the price range from 2,5 - 3 keys, but the most seller wants 3 keys (sometimes a little bit lower like 2 Keys + 2 ref) ... in the last 3 days there are many of sellers (from 3 sites to now 17 sites, i think valve made a good deal). The seller see a good profit to double her investion by buying a backpackexpander for 2,99€ and sell them for 3 keys (1,99€*3 = 5,97€). And i could understand why they don´t react on the sale because to get a bigger profit. and the newer suggestions will downvote buy the seller, and could, because they have the community for that ;) I smell price manipulation.
The poor buyer wants to get one for 2 keys (there are 20 sites of buyer on outpost who wants to buy for like 6 ref) and sure me too... it´s a fair price for both (seller and buyer). the new one costs in store like the old one before (3,74€) so 2 keys would also fit with a profit without the sale price.
My vision is that voters have to be split for buyer and seller and after that there is a range for an item.. got that? Here is a manipulation going on prices!!! sorry to say that... but its the truth.
I could give many examples for that... like dota 2 invites... the buyer wants to get them for a scrap and the sellers want to get a key... i sold 3 of them for 1 ref in 10 min. (comon guys MEET IN THE MIDDLE^^)
I would get the backpack expander too.. but not for 3 keys... i bought all of my used backpack expander for 5 - 7 ref. i have now 800 slots and want to get 2 more but i will buy them via store... and i think most of the trader who wants to use the expander will do the same. reselling is for looser.. the winner is valve.
2-3 keys is a good range for the new expander... upvote!!! The old expander have to be 2 keys!!!! thats my suggestion as an old hand in this.

thanks for your comment... i only want to say that the price suggestions here dosn´t fit with the market... if you want to get a backpackexpander buy them via store! nobody will buy 3 keys for 6€ to get one of them in a trade, if he could buy directly 2 of them for the same amount in store.
On market, you must value keys at 1.25$ (the price they usually go for on SOP, TF2OP, etc...). The BP expander is 4$ in store, but 3.75$ on market then.
someone bought the key for 2,49$ in the mann co. store!!! The blackmarket is for guys who wants to get money out of the game ;) ...and there are risks and fees on the blackmarket...thats the reason why they can only get 1,40-1,50$
and btw your comment don´t explain anything to the situation on the price of the backpack expander, its only your way to say that you don´t like what i have to say. And i wonder why you get a "like"... maybe by yourself? ;)

( http://stats.tf/item/5039/An_Extraordinary_Abundance_of_Tinge) more than 10000 copies of this item have been purchased for half of the price to resell them. This items are used as a better currency... and that is wrong and should not happen.
The thing with that sale was, the Paint was very highly purchased and stockpiled while the sale was going on. Once it was over, it was still around 1/2 the value, but as supply diminished while demand was unabated, it re-established at 2 keys. Lower than, say, black paint (of which they used to have roughly equal value), but still back to normal. Bills painted white are not treated as the 10 keys they used to be; Some people do, most people that I've seen treat them as 9 or 9.5 keys. A sale drops the price if a large quantity is purchased, and the supply: demand ratio shifts, not simply because there is a sale.

The thing is, I'm just not sure what you're trying to say. I'm extremely confused.
He's saying we're stupid for paying 3 keys for this, because we can just buy it in the store, and that he's never going to make another suggestion on Backpack.tf again.
I'm just gonna say there's a reason why people sell keys for $1.50 instead of $2.50 from the Mann Co. Store.
So many people have bought them now so naturally the price will probably drop a bit.
I agree with this, simply because people CAN avoid buying this, and purchase 2 keys in-game. I don't understand what the point of having something, that you can buy for 2 keys at the store, be priced at 3 elsewhere. Soon people won't really buy them for 3, and then sellers will need to settle for 2 if they want to sell the thing.
Cmon guys open your eyes, this should never have been so high in the first place, the link that i have provided shows people who have bought it FROM the store and are happy to sell it at 2 keys... if you really think about it it is just simply the same as putting $5 into ones steam wallet and buying 2 keys,..... but if you buy 2 keys you start of 2 keys.. buy getting this from the store what is one getting? Nothing just a pretty little package which just enables you to trade......
This is my first time doing this but the price of this item should only be 2 keys 2.5 keys at the most.

I always thought the best set price was 2.5 keys. This sounds good enough. :)

just sold 4 at 3 keys. these fly off the shelf at 3 keys.. so more than 3 is certainly still possible. And no im not manipulating the price to my own advantage,
Also this site shows a reflection of prices.. not set the prices..or what you think prices should be. so no manipulation is at play.

Seeing stuff like this makes me lose all faith in backpack.tf.
I sold several of these at 4 keys, and people were pretty willing to buy them up at that price, but it was NEVER rated at 3-4 keys, which what I thought was a pretty accurate price at that time. I got the impression idlers/alts were buying them from me or people who didn't want to enter their CC info with valve and needed more accounts, NOT f2p's.
It's not what you WISH its value is, it's what people are actually paying. Also, moaning and crying that I was ripping people off is pretty useless considering we're putting a value on virtual pixels and the kind of stupidity that goes on arbitrarily tier ranking unusuals. Yea monetarily it's not worth 4 keys, but some people were definitely willing to pay 4 for whatever reasons.

No.... Backpack expanders are 5$, but they're 2.5-3 keys. This looks like its around that as well.

Just because a few people sell for low it does not mean the rest 99,999 % of traders will agree to this price. 1 premium gives 3 X times more place then an expander and expanders sells for 2,5 - 3 key. Not to meantion you double your drop rate by having multiple accounts. Definietly a downvote. Sharking on prices to buy them and sell later for much more its a shame how prices work these days. And this site is a great tool. Few people I mean (Less then the 0,0000001 % of traders) decides the price for the rest of the trading community.
