Third link doesn't have offers equal to what you're changing it to, but the rest are fine. Not enough evidence for me personally, and I've researched enough things for today. Hoping someone will come up with a better list for us.

Well, that's why he'd have an interest in the item, either having bought it recently or planning on selling it in the future, I suppose.
I've seen bizarro comments on backpack.tf, both chastising the suggester for having the item, or not having the item.

I sold this item last week in about half an hour, and the trade was posted like this: Merc's Pride Scarf + 1 ref for 3 keys
If 3 keys are 8-8.33 ref, then I suppose I got 7-7.33 ref for the item, right away, without having to bump the trade at all.

maybe, just maybe.. having an item, you get an idea of offers on it. Maybe NOT everyone that is suggesting a price on an item is looking for it cheaper to buy or highering the price to sell.....
MAYBE... since he gave supporting evidence... you should look at it... and see if it indicates what the indivdiaul is suggesting...

Dealing with an item automatically gives you more experience with said item, and also more of a reason to see what is the real going price.

I guess a good range would be 2-3 keys.
Proof supports the upper range, but the lower end is too high if AMOKS' proof is any indicator
I think the range needs to be slightly bigger both ways, a rec really isn't much range for something like this.
But sometime people want to quicksell their items. For example, price for salvage is 11-12 but I bought so much at 10 keys each that I ran outof 140 keys
That is true, but as AMOKS pointed out, having such a small range for an item of this value is a little misleading, and the votes reflect this.
Yeah that's all i meant, like a refined range would be nice, I know it can be bought and sold even out of that range, as my screenshots show.

I still think the range is too small, the lower end in particular, but the voters have spoken.
