That's not that great of evidence. I still have a trade up and people still leave offers. I see a lot still go for 18+ as well. Heck, I even see some go for more than 20, but that's rare. Downvote from me.

There is no evidence to support him, plenty are bought and sold btwn 18-20, and i only found 1 person on outpost willing to take less than 20 keys (looking for 19).

that means that it is worth more than 15.5 keys. but that does mean that people do sell for lower than 16 keys, just that its very rare. as some people sell below average price.

How about tf2wh? Their buying price for key is 10600, and selling price for a box is 182575. That's about 17.2 keys. Remember keys are FAR from overstocks on WH and boxes are 110% overstocked. I know some people want to buy the boxes but they don't have "trust" level, but I think this is still a valid indication for the price.

FYI if you sell a box on WH (which you cannot currently) and then buy keys, you will get just under 16 keys.

We've been receiving reports of users trying to manipulate the price of "What's In Portal 2" boxes. These can still be obtained by purchasing a Portal 2 soundtrack physical copy from Amazon: http://goo.gl/sJtYj - don't go paying ridiculous amounts for one.

I believe that the price keeps to drop as it can still buy it.

I actually have an issue with those type of messages. The market corrects itself. She actually caused the item to drop by that little message. People thought they were being ripped off. Why single this item out? You can do it for any item.

Eh I know that group was wrong with trying to fix prices but dont try to lower prices a bunch to get back at them. I personally have a box and dont want to fix prices so i really dont want to get fucked because a bunch of dicks tried to cheat people.

Seems to me that since it's still obtainable + people don't know what's in it yet, it's only fair that a price is only set when what's in it is confirmed or when the amazon source runs out of stock.

1st. Not every cd comes with a code. I've ordered nearly 20 so far and only 18 have has codes.

2nd. Every one that I've sold has been between 15 and 16 keys with the exception of one that I sold last night for a crate 40. They sell after a day on op for 15 keys and nearly instantly for a salvaged 40.

His price is right however the claim of getting one from every cd is wrong. If anyone wants a cd add me on steam and I'll snail mail you one. They are taking up space. :-)

And your point is what? These promo items get allot of hits because of countries that cannot get it shipped for cheap. Easier to buy using TF2 items........So even if you can still buy them it still costs $15 plus shipping. Back into the cost of keys and IMO you get your price. I'd even add 2 keys for going through the hassle of buying with real cash and waiting for the promo code.

These things shouldn't be worth more than 10 keys honestly, The sound track itself is 14.99 on amazon I believe, and a person can not just buy it and sell it back for the exact same price it was bought for, thats getting stuff for free, and nothing in the world is free.

You have no idea what your talking about. I pay $1.20 for my keys which would mean 12.5 keys for me to break even. Then add in shipping costs and the time needed for travel along with any hassle and your profit margin.

The argument about buds is irrelevant as well. If you don't want to trade a buds, then don't. Don't want to trade a BMOC, then don't.

17 keys seems to be the high end of what they're being bought for; All offers on WTB trades seem to open at 17 keys and work their way downward.

From a purely buyer market this price seems to be correct. The other open suggestion suggestion better captures the buyer AND seller markets, so it's a question of which is more indicative of the market overall? Are sellers getting their prices regularly, or are buyers dictating the market price?

I don't think it's buyers at all since everyone in here seems to have a box themselves and everyone who tries to sell them for buds and higher than the price suggested here is trying to shear off all those precious higher items for an item that isn't even unlocked yet.

We don't even know what's inside, it should be around 21 keys at best, and that's what everyone else who doesn't belong to scammer group is selling it for. All those trades of single box for buds are a scam that isn't seling and they keep hiding any other reasonable and good offer that isn't in their current plan.

Some people are even selling them for BMOCs as opposed to buds which is a really good offer.

Also, other spreadsheet services have a current balance of 20 keys for a Portal 2 box listed, it's pretty obvious that the box isn't selling for buds.
