This has always been a difficult item to price because it almost always has parts attached, but to be honest, I’m quite surprised this dipped below a key. I could only find two trades in the first 5 pages of Outpost that were selling within the current range:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6702910 - Selling for 2.66 (no idea why it hasn’t sold, search me)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6641158 - Sold for 2.33
However, the amount of sniper rifles being sold for a key is overwhelming. Below is what I found on Outpost:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6613117 - Sold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6385056 - Sold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6668818 - Sold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6417422 - Sold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6624600 - Sold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6504861 - Sold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6710297 - Sold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6735369 - Unsold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6583688 - Unsold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6687897 - Unsold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6092735 - Unsold for 3 ref (1 key)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6604357 - Unsold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6733311 - Unsold for 1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6270295 - Unsold for 1 key
This is easily the most common price, and people appear to be willing to pay it. Some are unsold, true, but that may be due to a lack of buyers in the short term rather than any over pricing on the sellers part.
This appears to be an obvious change. I was considering having a range with 2.66 at the bottom end, but if the choice is 2.66 or a key, every seller will sell for a key and the price will just translate upwards.
Let me know what you think.
Just to point out: Price was 2.66 refined when 2.66 refined was a key.
Ah, it makes slightly more sense now :3
I think it still needs a range though.
Back when I was trying to sell mine over a month ago, it took me almost a week to find a seller willing to pay a key for it.
'over a month ago' - that would be why. The price a month ago included 2.33 ref - the price at the moment should not.
Maybe have a range in refined of what a key is worth if people are reluctant to give up pure keys for it?
Are they? I've seen plenty of these trades paid out with pure keys...
i bought mine with a Clean Attendant a long time ago (that's one Key anyway) soo... yeah, i'm kinda a guy that gives good deals, but if it's going to be what i bought mine for, then yeah
