That third link certainly doesn't help your suggestion. Also, people are still able to sell for 12 Keys. The current price is fine.

Actually it does. 5 crate #40s at 11 keys would equal 55 keys. That is right in the middle of what 2 buds would cost based on the current price of 27-28 keys i.e. 54-56 keys.

But it is a bulk sale. Bulk sales on items like this usually have prices lower than normal in order to move all of them at once. If it's the same guy I saw selling earlier, he was selling for 12 keys each or 55 for all.

Yeah, I get the whole bulk deal thing, but the third link does support the suggestion instead of certainly not doing so. I was just making a correction.

Woohoo I'm famous! I'm always looking to keep my bp flowing so I always set my prices a bit lower than the market price. But yeah, this receives an upvote from me since I sold only 1 for more than 11 in the past 3 days. Now I know how you felt when you said it hurts you right in the backpack. :D

Just a note mate, I got bored and decided to try and confirm the price. Final price (That I recieved by the way) was a Black (Distinctive Lank of Hue) Bill's, 2 keys, and a Prince Tavish's Crown (craft hat, or close to). There's hope for you yet.

Really noone actually wants them, the only guys buying atm are the ones that will sell them for 30 Keys in a few Month but have the Keys NOW.

You'd be surprised with how many people actually want them, but not above this price.

I think the price of these crates should be higher. Look at crate 30, its around 30 keys. What makes 30 different than 40? Yes, 30 stopped dropping long ago but 50 is gonna come out soon and this one will stop dropping. Why not raise the value?

when it happens price will be adjusted but now it's not worth more then 11

+ there where only little over 4K #30 crates dropped in total, when they dropped about 5 times more #40's almost 19K

how many crate 30s have been opened? how many crate 40s have been opened? I don't know the answer I'm just wondering if because they dropped more it still means that there are more currently..

Marshall has one and he is selling it. It's the only thing of value in his backpack and of course he doesn't want this to drop.

EVERYONE is hoarding #40 in hopes that they will follow the path of #30.

Once they stop dropping the market will become over-saturated with these crates. They won't ever skyrocket. Keep dreaming.

Though they will most likely experience a temporary bump in value once they are finally discontinued, then afterwards it will most likely settle down again and price will readjust to a more market appropriate value.

Note: I am not saying market value now isn't appropriate; I am saying if it does indeed experience a bump once it is discontinued, then it will not be that high for long.

Some evidence of 40s sitting unsold at 12 keys would be nice.

Mine was unsold for about 2 days.

Sold 1 at 12 keys and the other at 13 but it was a little less than a week ago. 12 keys is possible if you wait a bit. Not sure which way I will vote

i've sold plenty at 12 before

me too, but it means nothing now coz they still dropping... back then (2-3 weeks ago) they thought it will stop propping, it didn't so no reason to overpay yet....

im sorry still makes no difference its salvaged its still "dropping" yeah it is but its still salvaged so who knows when it will gives you no reason to make it drop

it's not the crate, it's whats in it. crate #30 had a lot of cool weps like kritz, gunslinger, machine, fish, caber. Crate #40 only got huntsman and sapper, nobody wants the other 3 (mantrads, gloves & widowmaker) and there are about 3 times more crate 40 weps out there comparing with #30....

Quickbuyers buy them at 10 keys or less.

The range of 11-12 is fine, I just sold mine for 11 keys, and the one before that for a 12 key equivalent in metal.

While it's clear that 12 is still possible, it's also clear that trades for less than 11 happen rather often. The proof shows average price is shifting down, so unless someone wants to suggest 10-12 this is an accurate price.
