1 Key for Gift Wraps is still available due to Keys being 3 Refined and current Gift Wrap price is 2.66 ~ 3 Refined. But when Gift Wraps are being sold at 1 Key + 1 Reclaimed, it becomes 3.33 so the current price range needs an update :)
if many are available at 1 key then why does it need a price change?
also selling at 1 key + 1 rec seems to be alot slower...
Valve sells them for 1.47 euro

+ this will affect the price of every gift wrap associated item so NO dont do it!
That's not how this site works.
Last try 1 day ago: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/50b9b468ba2536713600003c#50bbdf2fba2536a275000008_row
Ah didn't notice but well, i think my suggestion is nice so i'll wait to see what other people think.
I will have to say that my flaw was the low end price. There are quite a few sellers out there that are asking for a measly 1 Key. 2.77-3 Ref = Upvote.
These are pretty recent (2.66 ref.). I think I won't vote. http://i46.tinypic.com/fogbbl.png
Your just plain lucky :3
How am I lucky? You have 20 of these in your backpack and you've been trying to sell them for a while now. No point lying, I've had an eye on your backpack for a few days.
Keep this under your pillow when you cry. http://i.imgur.com/Nra57.png
That does seem to show the current range is good
Seeing lots sold on trade servers for anywhere from 2.66 (I was offered, but I didn't want since I didn't have correct change and I didn't want to resell) to 3 ref AKA a key (That was what they asked for, 3 ref or a key.) I think the current price is just fine.
If you go to TF2Outpost, you will see tons of people selling Gift Wraps for Key + Reclaimed but since now Key has risen to 2.77~3 Refined + the Reclaimed, it should be 3.33 so i think this price is good.
On the other hand, when I went to buy a Reserve Shooter (Strange) I saw 3-4 pages of 2 to 2.33 ref, and it took me a while to find anyone selling for less than 2 ref. I ended up buying for 1.66. I tend to treat TF2outpost as a source with caution, as you will mainly find falsified trades and overpriced items. You CAN find actual trades, for market cost or below, but you'll be hard pressed to do so.
Perhaps the guy who sold you for 1.66 was desperate for metal and this are the prices i mostly see in TF2Outpost or Trade Server. And every trading website has their own unique traders of overpricing their stuffs, as long as they can wait. They'll find a buyer sooner or later.
Look mate, the price on backpack.tf shows it for 1.66-2 ref. That means I should be able to see a variation thereof, when I look for it, not 2 ref as the minimum and 2.33 the oddball and 1.66. Same with giftwrap. a key is the price, and the people out on tf2outpost decide to sell it for more. If we conform to them an not the actual price, the price will go into a spiral for everything, and eventually caput. If the price on a given item is say, 2 ref, and everybody highballs for 2.33, and the price changes to reflect the highball of 2.33, then they'll highball at 2.66. We're not here to inflate prices, no matter how much they ask for, but to reflect the ACTUAL price. You see a lot of highballers, you take that as proof, you'll be laughed outta house and home.
When Keys are 2.66 and Gift Wraps were 3 Refined, they add 1 Reclaimed to match the price but since now that Keys have risen to 2.77 ~ 3 Refined + the Reclaimed, it can be 3 Refined to 3.33.
Did you even read what I said? If need be, just make a suggestion for the price to be a key. But you just seem to be repeating what you're saying without hearing a thing.
The price of the items always follow the trading community like for instance the Earbud, few months back it was 23 Keys and then people start raising the price and now it became 30 but then drop to 27 ~ 28. So i'm just following the community prices and not mine alone.
That guy doesn't seem to understand that this website doesn't make the prices, it lists the prices the traders make :p
now that keys have rise wraps must drop after all 2 euro 1 key in store 1.47 euro the gift wrap!!!!!
we are talking about scammers here as the person that rise the price in those
Upvote, decent proofs and nice new price range for Gift Wraps!
Very Nice proof, and well saidUPVOTE!
nope, usual price is 1key.
good job..... you blindly voted.... try doing some research before you vote on a price. its people like you that create inaccurate prices on items.
Dat nice proof.
Upvoted.
I personally tried to buy 3 gift wraps recently, one key each. Took all of 15 minutes for someone to add me selling loads for 1 key each. 1 Key is a fine price.
That's not true. I checked your backpack.tf and you have a bunch of them, that's why you claiming that price. Anyways... It should keep the same price. 2.66- 3 ref.
The user who has started this price vote is buying Gift Wraps for low prices and reselling them with two Reclaimed profit each.

Rhonin Redhair this is not how this website works. You do not start price suggestions to improve the profit of your own sales.
He's not necessarily bumping the price for his own profit... only to say that he's been selling well at his suggested price. If he's sold 5 at 1 key and 2 rec, then he's selling above the recommended price already just fine. I raised the price of the festive scattergun long time ago, even though I had 2. I did it because I had market experience with the item, and I was selling it higher than my suggested price.
I straight up support this, as some people have offered me 3.33 for gift wrap on trade servers.
This isn't true I've bought gift wraps for 1 key each easily...
is that NOT in the new range?
It is in the old one as well. Personally I think the new suggested price is way too far apart for such a low cost item.
Not only this. The individual suggesting this has bought over a dozen of Gift Wraps for 2.66 and is trying to profit on them by selling them for 3.66 right now as we speak.
agreed to that.
just cuz someone is currently selling/buying something for profit at the same time posting a price rise does not mean insta vote down. he has very good proof that they sell for new suggested price (upvote from me)
I've provided good proof that these can be bought for 2.66. Do read comments.

Go away.
All the evidence is from TF2outpost, home of every greedy, price inflating trader in this community.
Admins should start automatically closing suggestions that only use TF2outpost for evidence. There are other trading communities...
Except the majority of trades go through outpost. Yes, some go through SOP/MCT/Rawr/Skial/Trader, but only a small fraction.
The only place where there is enough traffic to base a price is either in game on a trade server, or on outpost. BUT, its not easy to get a lot of proof from trade servers. Leaving Outpost as the only source of information for pricing.
Yes, outpost is full of lowballers and highballers, but if the lowballers agree to pay the highballers prices over and over and over again, than those highballer prices become the prices. Simple as that.
Whats wrong with tf2tp or bazaar.tf? When I'm actively seeking good deals on items the last place you will find me is on the outpost...
tf2tp you can't see offers, and tp isnt much better than outpost (also the search function sucks so it makes life even harder). And, noone actually uses bazaar. hahaha
Prices here are based on Sales AND offers. No price is based solely on what the seller is asking for, they usually end up being a range. (What the buyer is offering--what the seller is asking for). And the most accurate prices that buyers are offering come from their offers (as most people lowball in their own buy trades), and with tp you can't see any offers.
I understand where you're coming from, I'm more or less just tired of seeing all the selective evidence coming from TF2outpost links only. I'm sure I could search around there right now and find 20-30+ links of bud sellers wanting 30+ keys, but I'm not starting a suggestion trying to increase the upper range of buds to 30 keys.
It almost seems like anyone that wants some quick and easy rep here just needs to pull a bunch of TF2outpost highball links, paste 'em here and the users/admins of this site eat it up like its the majority of the community's opinion.
My main point:
Theres a life outside of the outpost, a glorious one too. One where traders (for the most part) understand the concept of supply and demand as well as how to compete with one another.
"I'm sure I could search around there right now and find 20-30+ links of bud sellers wanting 30+ keys, but I'm not starting a suggestion trying to increase the upper range of buds to 30 keys."
--Prices are based just as much on sellers as they are on buyers. And no one's buying at 30 keys, therefore the suggestion wouldn't pass.
"It almost seems like anyone that wants some quick and easy rep here just needs to pull a bunch of TF2outpost highball links, paste 'em here and the users/admins of this site eat it up like its the majority of the community's opinion."
--Admins don't really care what proof you provide, are what people think. They will make their own decision, so even if the proof provided is biased, they will do their research and use unbiased proof to decide whether to accept or reject the suggestion.
"Theres a life outside of the outpost, a glorious one too. One where traders (for the most part) understand the concept of supply and demand as well as how to compete with one another."
--No question, but the problem is that there is really know way to gather enough proof from a source other than outpost.
Im going to agree not because It can be gotten for Key+ rec but because keys are more like 2.88-3 ref.
And this item would need a bump up to compensate for that.
