Obligatory guy linking to tf2finance

http://tf2finance.com/keys/ - Currently averaging at 2.9 keys, a hair over 2.88.

Damn it you beat me to it!

I see no proof? I have 50 keys in my bp, and without proof I'm downvoting.

The new price seems a little to high, so neutral for now.

Keys are hard to find? What?

Just found 20 pages of keys, the oldest being bumped 6 MINIUTES ago...

        http://www.tf2outpost.com/search/57543262

I think he meant for 2.77. And 6 minutes ago? Mine goes like 1 sec, 3 sec, 4 sec, 6 sec....

I'm reffering to page 20. And, outpost has never been a cheap place to buy keys.

When keys were 2.33-2.55, 99% of outpost was asking for 2.66

Ah sorry. Actually my page 20 is 9 min ago. And from keys to ref it is 1 day ago.

Seriously. People need to understand that outpost is a HORRIBLE place to find key prices.

            Stop dat.

            Now. Stop it pls!

The people that suggest it go UP only do it for themselves as well.

It's called inflation. Happened with ze bmoc too.

I'll wait for the shitstorm to come. It's OP's first suggestion so he doesn't understand how it works yet.

                Please people, show us links.

                  no proof.

"The people that suggest it go down only do it for themselves"

^ your doing the same thing but the opposite end.

Holy hell. All people want 3 ref for their keys except for one or two who want 3.11. I don't think it's yet time to bump the price up to 2.88-3.11, because I've seen no proof of people selling them at 3.11.

                    http://www.tf2outpost.com/search/57544692

Here's the list of people buying keys. 2.5, 2.55, 2.66, 2.77, and 2.88 are all I'm seeing people buy at, but it doesn't look like many are getting much action.

All in all, I think it's too early to include 3.11 in the price for keys. The sales at that end don't seem to be happening much. 3 ref is a fairly good price, but so is 2.88. Bumping it up to 3.11 is premature.

                    That's my two cents.

I agree with raising the lower end to 2.88 as thats the lowest people seen to go (Only bought 5 keys lower than it in a week). I don't agree with the higher range being 3.11 as there are many people buying/selling at 3 refined still and have yet to see them go higher.

                      Sellers at 3.33 refined:

1.http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6792536 Don't think any have sold

                      Sellers at 3.11 refined:

                      1.http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6432394 0 have been sold

                      Sellers at 3 refined:

2.http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5532861 May sell at 2.88 refined as well.

                      6.http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6714192

                      Sellers at 2.88 refined:

                      1.http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6820083

These were all on the first page when I refreshed (I'm sure there's multiple other links I could have provided of 3 ref or 2.88 ref sellers but I feel like this is sufficient enough). As of right now, downvote for me unless proof is shown they are being sold for higher not asking to be sold for higher.

You are a hypocrite. "The people that suggest it go down only do it for themselves". Well you are raising the price only for yourself.

He has no keys in his backpack. That is the funny part.

Lol, I guess he is masochist and wants to destroy tf2 trading.

Everyone has got to live for something.

Sorry, but after reading your description.. I have a feeling that you are doing the same as those you claim are doing it for themselves, only on the opposite side of it. Also, your logic is kinda flawed; the reason the price keeps going up is not because people are holding out, it's because the majority of key trades are SUCCESSFULLY selling/buying keys at the current price. If they were actually holding out as you claim, the price would actually be dropping, since sellers would be forced to drop their prices if they wanted to successfully sell. Also, you have no proof to back up your new price range, so I'm gonna have to downvote this.

lol at the 3.11 ref in the range

                            Instant downvote

Hey guys, might wanna have a little read at this piece of text I've quoted from a dude called Holly Jolly Poncho?

"These are not investment portfolios. These are not limited edition promos.

These are items used to do something, like unbox a crate.

I have said this time and time again, and you fools just keep on begging to have the market crash. Need I remind you again why key price hikes are a bad idea?

-Keys are never out of stock. More keys are being added to the economy than are consumed, and the amount of keys that are here compared to the high that was at the Halloween update does not justify the price.

-With you pricing the keys like this, you are only ENCOURAGING people to buy keys via paypal or mann co. You are not deterring them.

-When the price of keys is raised, everything in the economy suffers for it. Look no further than Halloween to prove my point.

-With Backpack becoming the new spreadsheet, you are inspiring people to price higher and higher the keys. People will not unbox anything from new crates if they cannot profit off of any of it. Pretty soon, you are going to have the same issue you did this spring, when only certain crate series were bought. If more people are discouraged from unboxing if they cannot get a hand on those crates, you will have a flood of keys and exorbitant prices that will warrant a crash.

-in one month, almost 60000 keys have been pumped into the economy in about 3 weeks. And this is only in public backpacks. This should be cause of concern, because if the keys keep cycling in at the rate they are, they will hit 400000 before the Christmas update.

I see the Tower of Babel starting to fall, and you key hoarders are refusing to see it. So fine, inflate the price of keys. Be my guest. Just don't come crying back to me when the key prices start to crash and you are begging to get rid of them for 2.66.

These are not earbuds. These are not bills hats. These are keys. Accept this fact and the market will not be affected. Ignore it, and be punished for your greed."

I've posted this once on another suggestion from a few days back, I'll post it twice because this fits just as good and it's just a perfect counter argument against the "keys are becoming harder to find"-thing.
