Theres a group dedicated to price fixing this item to 1.5 buds "Because its so rare". Illegal in the real world, don't know why they'd try it here. I recommend reporting them.
Weren't they already reported a while ago, along with all of the other hoarder groups?
Well they're still around. I reported each one of them on outpost, but their trades are still up. Even told one if he gave me a good reason why it should be so much compared to even rarer items, then I would buy it. He hid my post :P
The reason tihs works is because they can maintain a mjority hold on the market. However, the traditiona way to break this or any other sort of hostile takeover to inflate prices would be to water down the stock, an option not availible here. Therefore, they CAN get away with it for a limited amount of time. They may not raise it to 1.5 buds, but they will raise it a couple keys at the least. The only way to eliminate this sort of profiteering would to rid the market of speculation or force a boycott of a particular hat, and neither of these two are viable. So, my opinion is they're here to stay, but they'll not be able to significantly affect the prices, so just ignore them.
You can still buy one of these for like 9 keys off of tf2wh and they have 75 of them in stock. Pretty sure those morons have no chance.

Voted against initially (even though I'm about to own one I don't intend to sell/trade), now I'm unsure after seeing the stats.tf on the re-release
1. tf2wh has almost full stock [75/80] @ 9.5 keys, only need trust level 1 to get this item.
2. plush Archimedes was re-released in the steamstore 3 weeks ago (sold out in 3 days), last update to this price was 4 weeks.

Although google cache only shows the number of G. Archimedes has gone up 44 in the last week (out of 2200), everyone must get their mail alot quicker than me and redeemed them in the first 2 weeks.

Used to be 2027 genuine 'archimedeses' 2 months ago according to this price fixer http://backpack.tf/vote/id/507501da49d7b8af07000001 . Maybe they didn't re-release as many as I thought.

Looks like a unknown 3rd contender came from behind and snatched it. After a bit of typical outpost drama for the first adder.
His backpack shows only 8 keys in new item limbo, guess that was the sale price afterall.
Correction: The price at the warehouse is actually 9.09 keys (used a calculator this time :), 76/80 stock. And one dude doing a bit of a quicksell for 8 keys on outpost I think I'll go back to against.

Yeah, was wondering why he sold to the 3rd guy when he already had the first 2 added.
But then again that 3rd guy has the bird and all 8 new item keys in the sellers backpack came from him. Unless he traded away part of the payment down to 8 keys to cover his ass against complaints. Or he knows the guy that he traded with.

Just noticed the guy he traded it to set the price 3 months ago, and is friends with alot of the outpost admins (and a admin himself according to about / but not steamrep). Guess it was a legit trade, just a dodgy seller.
Can't delete my disparaging remark about outpost, oh well.
He is a moderator on Outpost but I don't think that has anything to do with it. If he happened to get it for 8 keys instead of 9, big deal.
