Overpay in hats is standard practice in unusual trading. Further, one trade is not an adequate indicator of a market-wide price shift.
I don't think double the suggested backpack.tf price is 'overpay', but more that the suggested price is too low. And what / how many do you need to determine a market wide price shift? Since mine sold there are now none on the market, so mine is the best indicator you can have. Isnt the point of backpack.tf that the prices change on what people have been paying?
One trade is sometimes all you get for unusuals. I find that particular comment worrying as it's coming from a Moderator.
Apart from that, it'd be good if you could link your old trade, and find the 3 pure offers on the other guys Dixie, as 3 Buds on a Dixie seems impossible.
I'm skeptical of everything by default because I'm a moderator XD
I can understand that, I'm very skeptical about prices on here too. But yes, it would be good if this suggestion had some more backing to it, like proof of offers on the other hat. I'm not voting till something more crops up on this one 8D
I've linked some Scorching Dixie trades:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6817122 [offer of 2 pure + 26 keys + sweets that was rejected]
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5457010 [has 3 bud offer as well. Rejected]
Update: I sold the Dixie for 1 bud plus 1 bud in keys/bills plus a bubbling birdcage.
I saw a burning one go for 3 buds the other day. But I cant just ignore your sale. You paid ~2.5 mixed for it and sold for 3+ mixed.
Since there is no counter evidence I can find, Ill accept this.
