Summary

------------------------

After thinking about this i decided 2 keys would be the best to suggest. They commonly sell at 2 keys.

But there are cases where it goes for a bit more and there were 2 buyers who wanted to pay more.

Most of the sales fall into 2 keys. I would say the extra metal used were used as sweets in my opinion.

    I didn't sell for 2 keys + 2 rec. I sold for 2 keys + 1 scrap. :)

it was suppose to be 2 keys 1 rec lol. but i went with the comment no way i would have known what exactly happened in your trade, but alrights thanks for letting me know

Add to add That the last suggestion went down to 5.33 because a lot sold for 2 keys

and 2 keys at the time was 2.66

With keys going for 2.77-3 ref.... and you suggesting 2 keys(2*2.77=5.5ref, 2*3=6ref), isn't this an arbitrary change?

        Well

        1) keys really arent going for 2.77 more like 2.88 so its 5.77 as the low end

        2) Change in currency to the common currency Metal -> Keys

          1) I still find them at 2.66 (and before everyone is like "OMG, WHERZ?", hang out on a trade server for a bit and OFFER)

          2) Metal is more common than keys... this isn't even debatable

Since metal is more stable, it can reflect the prices of anything below 4 keys more accurately...

Trade servers don't count for anything. Pricing guides aren't welcomed and used on trade servers and getting 1 key at 2.66 after spending hrs there isn't something that we should say is common.

There are buyers of keys at 2.77 and 2.88

I count keys as 3 ref and so do alot of sellers who have to take metal instead of keys so in metal this would go flat 6 ref

I think items that do go for keys should be shown as keys

"trade servers don't count for anything" ... odd... b/c trading gets done there. People trade keys, items and everything else there. In bulk TOO!!!

Blasphemous, getting outside the shell of outpost, I know.....but stick with me a little longer...

There are also some fancy servers that have a price check built in... where you type "!pc modest" in the chat and it will bring up prices as stated on this site...seems like an odd way to not endorse price guides. Some even use backpack.tf as the backpack search feature. Good trade servers, like any good business, look out for their patrons...

Since over half this community demands a range on anything, how would you express that in keys? I'm not sure why people get stuck on not having an approximate price, but that's a different argument

As far as changing things to keys, it makes sense for Items that go for 5 or more keys... If they have a range of a key (or half a key), such as bills. kringles, etc. that's reasonable too. But changing a 5.66 ref item based on your preference for it to be in keys is unnecessary...

I mean, if you REALLY feel the need to change some colors on your profile or get another little star, so be it. I would think it'd be better to make changes that matter as oppose to flooding the admins with busy work on arbitrary changes.

I meant they don't count for evidence. You cant get anything concreate to show for what happened in a server.

And on trade servers I have gotten lots of hats worth keys for cheap but that doesn't mean they're worth that much. Trade servers are a nice place whee you can bargain and get stuff cheap.

You didn't have to go on a rant. Lol

I know 5.33-5.55 doesn't happen on a modest. And I know that when they sell 2 keys are used so that betters to portray.

But of you want to be tech about it then yea I'm cutting scraps off the low end and my suggested price is more true then current price.

And this has gotten way off course. If you wish to continue keep it on topic.

Tell me whether this suggest is correct or not and tell me why 2 keys is right or wrong based on trades that happened

ı thınk ıt max can be 5 to 6 ref

Have to agree with this, I've sold two of these at 2 keys each MONTHS ago. Still easy to buy/sell at 2 keys right now.

              But.. 2 keys = 5.33-6, I don't understand why it needs a change. I suppose I'll stay neutral.

5.33 isn't 2 keys and the current price was changed from 6 ref to 5.33 -6 because alot sold at 2 keys. Now I'm changing it to be right and be 2 keys.

And they trade for keys and not metal.

Both currencies. And sales of 2.66 are uncommon, but present. I don't think its wrong, I just think it's kind of a pointless change, but I'll leave it to the price mods to see if it's worth it.
