These are rising, and I would not be surprised if they continue rising well into the future. No-one is selling for 6.66, and even 7 ref is uncommon. It's not very rare for people to offer 7.33 or 7.66, and trades go through for as much as 8 ref.

Those sold or offering seven ref. I was tempted to make the range 7.33 - 8, but couldn't do that in good conscience given the number of recent sales on the last trade. Expect it to rise in the future:

All in all, this is a difficult price to set, because of the variations in the valuations of the currencies used to purchase this item. However, it is abundantly clear that these no longer sell for 6.66, and even at 7, sales are rare.

And for once guys, don't be mystery down voters. On almost all my suggestions there are ~5 people who down vote without posting a comment. If you have a valid reason why this shouldn't go through, tell me! Others can follow your lead - if you're right.

If you have a look through the previous suggestions you'll find myself and a few other buyers have pretty good luck buying these items for 5.66-6.33 ref on the low end. It's a tricky item to price by just looking at the trades; you really have to trade this item to find out what it's going for.

That said, I'm done voting on this item, as it's difficult to put any price other than 6-9 ref to satisfy everyone.

Yeah, I'd agree with most of that. I'm just trying to narrow the range to the best possible estimate. More are sold at 7 - 8 than for any other price, so, if an estimate is required, then this is a good one.

Not much demand for mine black paint. But sold it couple days ago for 7.33

Not sure why you'd suggest a price that's STILL WITHIN the current spread. It's still possible to get one for 6.66 here and there. Post up a trade and see for yourself. Also, the current median price is 2.54 keys which pretty much covers all this "proof". DOWNVOTED

It's like xen said, you can't get a perfect price for this item, the quantity traded is too large. What you have to do, then, is take the smallest range that incorporates the largest part of the market. If you need to know what that range is, look through my suggestion again and work it out for yourself. I couldn't find any for 6.66. I report what I find, I don't change it. In response to your query about the median price, that doesn't matter. This price (in my opinion), is more accurate than the price at the moment. All this is doing is narrowing the range to increase the accuracy of the price. Ten suggestions like this go through everyday. There's a reason why we don't price everything at 0.01 ref - 120 buds, and it's because traders want accuracy, regardless of whether or not the price lies within the current range.

Seems like a pointless price change to me. 1 rec lower on the average doesn't change anything.

It's about making the price more accurate. The price isn't 6.66 - 8, it's 7 - 8. On lower tier stranges we have Internet brawls over half a weapon. Don't vote on whether or not the change is pointless, or not (in your opinion). Ask yourself this: According to the evidence provided, is this price MORE accurate than the current one - and then vote accordingly.

Actually I stupidly saw it as the new price being 6.66-8. Vote changed, but not up or down either way.

If this suggestion and the last one I passed through were up at the same time I would have picked this one.

I knew paints weren't flying off the shelves at 3 keys but 6.66? Almost impossible. I accepted it just to not be too picky.
