Also, it's taking me MUCH longer to sell keys @ 2.94 on outpost than it was. And that's probably the cheapest price you can find on outpost. Price is starting to drop.

You see, the thing is with these key proofs is that many sellers do not comment before trading away the keys for metal.

I used to sell keys and no one said, "Added" in my trades before adding me and trading me. You have to take these trades with a grain of salt.

Personally, I do believe that these 2.77 refined key buyers do not get much business often, but who are we to say that they do not without trade histories. I want to see those more than a post on TF2Outpost.

Not sure about this. Whilst its true that buyers are happy to set up trades with 2.88 as their paying price, keeping the wider range is alot safer as I do believe whilst its still slightly harder, 2.77 can be achieved with a some waiting. For now, I wont vote.

I agree i mean 2.77 isn't a bad price but more people tend to sell 2.88 and then get sold pretty fast.

I've been buying at 2.77 and it's been slow. However I do still get Keys sold to me daily on outpost. Take that as you will since I'm not voting on Keys since that's something none of us should be allowed to vote on. On top of that, there is far too much personal spin on this item to price correctly.

Didn't this exact price get turned down yesterday? Anyway, I'm going to say it again.

1) Yes, 3 Ref sales do happen. but thats a part of the current range AND the suggested range, and both are the high end. And since you're only changing the low end of the range, 3 Ref trades aren't relevant to this suggestion at all.

2) The current average is 2.89 (oh noooooo, averages.) As mentioned, unless an extremely large amount of people are selling at 2.88, there must be a pretty decent amount of trades happening at 2.77.

3) Alot of people who are selling keys on sites like outpost wont post if they accept a buyer's price.

There's so many people wanting to pay 2.88. 2.77 is wishful thinking but not part of the range. Everyone, their grandpas, and their grandmas would jump to get 2.77 keys.

If taking off the bottom range of any item, please make sure to prove that sales at at the bottom end - in this case 2.77-2.88 ref - do not happen. Proving the high end does not help.

Upvoted, had extreme difficulty buying for 2.77. Looks like keys are in a period of continuous appreciation for now.

This is what you get for basing the prices on outpost key resellers. Its always 1 scrap more then market value, then you base the prices on outpost, see what happens,

if no one sells for 3.11 but everyone buys for 2.88 then this price fits the market.

It's stupid to keep changing the values of keys. This massive sudden increase from 2.44 to almost 3 is incomprehensible. More metal on the market? Keys/metal are the two most ready available items in the game, they should be standardized value as much as possible.

By changing the value of keys, all of a sudden, you're throwing the economy into disarray and allowing people who aren't nonstop on top of prices to be ripped off.

Changing the values of keys, constantly, is the perfect way to kill the economy entirely and then in the end EVERYONE gets screwed.

Downvote all changes to keys unless absolutely necessary. Backpack CREATES prices for items, it doesn't just inform people on what's "fair"

I really wonder when people say that they have been buying keys for 2.77 each daily on outpost. I had put up couple of keys for sale for 2.88 each, and they went in a flash. When it came to buy some keys back, after a day of scouting I barely managed to pick some keys (5-6), tough competition there too, luckily managed to beat fellow key hunters by seconds. To all people boasting about 2.77 key price I would request posting some links to help all fellow traders out.

I was reading the posts before this post of mine. Its funny how people are asking for proof. The quick and easy way is to just scout trade servers and heaps of trading websites. I am a collector of OLV's (olv = odd leveled vintage) weps. I sell keys quite regularly. Enough that i have 5-6 regular customers that changed over from selling me OLV's to buying keys from me because i sell them for 2.77. They normally buy 20-30 keys each. They are very happy with my price and tell me that i should raise my price to 2.88 and no more. I understand that they don't want to tell me to raise my price to high because that would be shooting themselves in the foot. So, i don't know which way to go on this one. It would make the TF2 math formula's (lol) easier if the price for a key was 3 ref but in the back of my mind i'm saying that is to high for keys. My experience says 2.88 - 2.99 should be the range. If needed i can give user names of my customers for reference and proof. Still don't know if i agree on the suggestion or not.
