Sorry I couldn't get that much proof. No one really likes this piece of junk.
This doesn't support your lower range though. Unless you can prove the buyers are doing anything but oping to profit by lowballing, the lower end isn't a good lower end; rather, a suggestion of .66 flat would be better.
Did the fact that the buyers successfully bought for their "lowballing" prices elude you?
I didn't count that as valid, due to the fact that
a) I've lowballed sucessfully in the past. Recently bought 3 keys for 6 ref, on a severe lowball trade. There will be sales on a lowball buyer's trade, whether falsified or not, due to the fact that people may not know what their item is worth or if they don't have the time to sell for market price.
b) How many is a few? You have many trades listed at 1 ref and .66 ref, but your evidence for the low end is "appears to have bought a few". If you can provide proof that there is a reasonable number of sales on the low end, sure. But saying "a few" seems rather lackluster evidence.
c) Your use of pejorative language. Saying no one likes this piece of junk, although an opinion, is still use of pejorative language to try and suggest to other people to accept your price. Similarly, the use of adjectives with strong connotations, such as disgusting as opposed to dirty, or beautiful rather than pretty, even though they are synonyms, suggest different imagery based upon said connotations. Compare "The lady was beautiful" to "The chick was hot".
EDIT: Format.
There are indeed exceptions to every rule. I don't think you looked at the links though. Most of the buyer trades had comments saying "added" or "I've got a bat" or something along those lines. I don't have pictures of their inventory histories showing absolute proof that the trade occurred, but I know there is a very high chance that it did.
Now, are you seriously trying to correct the way I referred to this piece of junk? Really?
I can't access tf2outpost.com right now, so my basis was your comment there next to the link. I'm not asking for absolute proof that it happened, simply proof that it is a significant quantity of successful trades.
Yes, I am trying to connect your language into this. Calling it a piece of junk affects a person's view of the item, and it's not proper at all. Imagine if I referred to you as a piece of junk. Rude, sure, and you're not an group of pixels on a screen, but the fact remains that it would affect the way people look at you, whether consciously or no.
EDIT: The reason I draw your language into this is to point out, that's not how this site should work. Presidential candidates do the same thing, in order to try and demean the other person, but that doesn't make it OK at all.
EDIT 2: My main point still stands, that I do not see sufficient evidence for the low end of the range.
EDIT 3: Also, you have 9 links for selling for .66, 11 links of unsold for 1 ref, and 4 links for other prices. You then have 4 links of buyers. The evidence that you've provided is and in of itself lopsided.
There were ten pages of trades selling the clean bat outta hell. There were TWO pages of trades attempting to buy the bat! Of course my proof is lopsided! Do yourself a favor, wait until you have access to tf2outpost before you criticize proof from tf2outpost. Thanks.
Seems legit even though price has gone up 'n' down past days. Upwoted.
Good proof, upvote
