I agree but you will need some proof (links form OP)...

I don't even need proof, upvoted. Anyone who asks for proof here is just being silly.

      proof is srs bzns

Other way around, we don't need proof for downvoting. This whole suggestion is silly, you know why? Let me tell you...

This hat... It's not just a Stove Pipe. It's not just a Sniper hat. It's not just a Stout Shako. It's even better...

IT'S A FUCKING STOVEPIPE SNIPER SHAKO. 2 REFINED, GRAVY AND A DEMOPAN FOR IT. AND IT GETS BETTER, CHRISTMAS IS COMING SO IT'S 5x WORTH AS MUCH!!!

OMG CHRISTMAS IS COMING, ADD ME SNIPER SHAKO FOR 7 REF, LIMITED TIME OFFER.

Agreed, but proof would be nice.

Although this could be true, more proof is needed. In general, some Unique Hats are more expensive than their Genuine counterparts because the Uniques had to be crafted. :3

That is true but most people prefer Genuine over the crafted version if they are the same price

I like how you just assume that without any real reason.

Would you prefer a G.Sniper shako to a crafted one?

if he does, that completely proves that most people have the same preferences

Its an example but seriously would you rather a green writing limited Genuine shako or regular craft number yellow writing shako

                      I would prefer a crafted one. ;) But hey I'm a hipster. :P

PS: I don't want any genuine, vintage or haunted items in my backpack.^^

For the same price, most people prefer the limited version of an item. You're one cool hipster to imply people are special though, but most people do indeed follow the same patterns and tastes.

              where is the proof?

Vincent always does the work proving things.

Alright, so here are the shakos. Ignoring those trying to sell for over 1.66 or asking for offers.

              SOLD:

              Both sold for 1.66

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6978510 - Made 6 days ago, can't determine when it was sold but it was early on

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7084023 - It's ME!!! Did it within a day of this trade. Though I did have it on a prior trade with no success over a few days, with me bumping very inconsistently.

So, yeah, not exactly a clear cut hat. It's definitely possible to sell for more than 1.33, I did so myself. Not the easiest hat to do so, but not the hardest either. Not sure if it's selling with any regularity through outpost though or if people just aren't bothering to try. An argument can be made either way here. Personally speaking, the lack of people actively trying to sell for 1.33 would push me to side with current range, but the difference between a 1.33 hat and a 1.33-1.66 is a fine one and arguments can be made either way here.

Its so hard to price something like this. Personally I would accept based on the reasoning that there will ALWAYS people who sell craft hats for 1.66. 1.33 is "quicksale" to people and some people will never quicksale. The amount at 1.66 and the general positive feedback from comments and votes would make me want to accept.

The hatbank service had a few at 1.33

I caught a Menpo and a Plainswalker Goggles in one of the hatbanking bots inventories. They're not exactly a viable means to check pricing.

Nope. But yet WH dictates a lot of prices.
