naughty keys should be about 2:1 per key right now, + cost of crate, = 2 keys minimum per festive IMO. until actual proof comes out, they should go for much more than a key bc they're so new and still more expensive to get

Your logic is flawed. Not every item you get out of a crate is going to be worth more or the same as that crate+key. Look at any crate series and tell me that isn't true.

it's better than randomly guessing what they're going to be worth. it should be what it costs to start out, then change accordingly.

But seriously, you say that this person's anecdotal evidence is just randomly guessing, then you just completely make up some random way of determining the price that makes no sense, then you claim some b.s. how economies work.

book value, when there's no proof of effects of demand, comes down purely to cost when it comes to trading.

when it comes to sales, i.e. cars (i manage a car dealership) it's based upon MSRP. which comes straight from the manufacturer.

book value is then adjusted according to what they're actually selling for, which is a product of demand.

sorry, i took economics classes in college, i actually understand how numbers and math work, and i actually understand how book values are supposed to work.

if you can't comprehend simple concepts you shouldn't be allowed to suggest OR vote on prices, because you're contributing to inaccurate records which in the end lead to people getting ripped off. the point of this site is to prevent that, is it not?

price needs to either be cost when items first come out, or wait 24+ hours until it's suggested. considering all weapons assumably have the same drop rate, they should all be the same price until demand dictates otherwise

theres more to the tf2 economy than your college econ classes. This isn't exactly a scarcity economy; things fall from the sky; your rules dont apply. If you are going to be a douche to people who are giving you valid reasons as to why your argument makes no sense then you have no place here.

Like he said, just because it costs X amount to get something in tf2 doesnt make it worth more than X. Your only vaild point was that it was too early and that he doesnt have enough proof.
