I found a lot of prooof but for some reason the backpack.tf erase most of them right after I click save. now I'm too lazy to find :3
Brad Pitt suggesting a price? Everyone upvote xD
Lol, not necessary -- but the other 3 suggestions for this item seemed completely wrong.
Of course. Still waiting to see what happens to these festives. Things may turn if they release something else, or whatever.
and what does angie say?
Always check for yourself no matter what. Brad was wrong about the Naughty Crates
Uhh huh. Agree. Never upvote without looking unless the proof is too good.
I was not wrong, you guys were just too slow. :D
Mmm-hmm that spike lasted for 3-4 hours at most. You were too preemptive. I guess you weren't technically "wrong" though. :P
Im still waiting to buy the entire set for 1 key each ;0
That'll never happen. Lowest will be Ax most likely, bought one for 6 keys yesterday and gave it to a friend for Christmas. He asked why I spent 15 keys on it, I laughed.
Mass unboxing -> overstock -> people willing to sell for less
give it a week pal
But 1 key each? I may understand the ax and ubersaw, but no way the SF grenade/huntsman will go that far down, no matter how much I wish. If that is true I could buy 4 sets and still have keys left over, but at most I'll only be able to get 2.5 sets.
I expect people unboxing more this year than last year, so the bubble will burst on them a lot harder.
I don't think axe will be the lowest when it is one of the most popular pyro melee weapon. The buff banner probly will be though, I never see anyone use it beside in MMV
I know how to play the game :c
not talking to you, talking to the idiot who lambasted the buff banner because he has 181 keys in his backpack and more than likely can't kill anything.
Dude i trade a lot. And i play every so often. But been playing the game since 2007 on console. I will easily dominate you in any round.
Don't think since traders trade most of the time they don't know how to play well.
Don't see why you're upset at him for owning a lot of keys. I had 100+ just the other day, Keys are easy to get
"But been playing the game since 2007 on console. I will easily dominate you in any round. " You have no idea how hard I just laughed at that. Oh my Christ, that's the most ridiculous comment I've ever seen in my life.
Its true. I'm sure he isn't that good. And i would say i'm pretty good at the game. Playing for a long time just makes you better.
My god, you're right, this is hilarious, its so petty.
Thy are more than likely trying to sell it now because they want to cash in immediately. If you are not careful, you will have the same issue that you saw with last year's strange festives and the BMOC fiasco, where select individuals bought up all they could and spiked up the prices, claiming HURR DURR CHRISTMAS IS COMING. Me, I want to buy one of each because I want to use them and not save them as an investment.
The point that I am trying to make is that the key sellers are trying to make sure they can secure some sort of a nest egg by buying the strange festives now, in case the keys see a dramatic dip in the price.
An additional point that I would like to make is that there may be 20 pages or so of these currently, but if these are sold because the traders want keys, they are feeding into the users that want to use the festive as investment tools. There might be 20 pages now, but in a month or so there may be half that.
I disagree with the price suggestion. Only reason you see so many is because people just unboxed them and want to keep unboxing so they are quickselling. None of these festives should be valued under 10 keys. It's basically stealing if you ask such a low price for such a rare item.
Rare item? There's more than 20 pages of them for sale right now. That's not rare at all, where I come from.
A few thousand out of millions of backpack is under 1%. I don't know where you're from but in North America 1% is considered a small percentile. You see an influx on the market because people are willing to quick sell them for more keys. They will quickly realize that the Strange they got lucky and unboxed in the first 10 keys won't come along again for a long time. To open a naughty crate costs 1.5 - 2 Keys + 0.5 - 1 keys for the crate. So you're telling me that 2-3 keys for 1 chance at getting a strange is worth it to sell at 10 keys? Not a chance. It's not like people are unboxing these after every 10 crates, is it?
20+ pages for sale after a few days only, and there's still 2 weeks left of unboxing.
So lowering the price to 8 keys will deadlock the market and no one is going to sell them for less and no one will pay more, therefore they won't sell. If you raise the price to 10-14 and people see it on the market for 8, they will buy them up and lower supply, therefore increasing demand.
So, with tons of people with b/o of 10 keys, you're suggesting the price should be 10-14? Don't think so. 10 obviously needs to be the upper range, as many many people are trying to sell for 10 keys.
Honestly, I don't know how you're missing this point. If you value the item at 10 keys+, anything under 10 keys on the market will sell very quickly. If you set it to 8-10, market prices will lower further until there's no profit in buying, and no reason for selling. You are mistaking quick sell prices for actual value, and that is a not the correct way to help increase demand.
Are you sure you are taking or have took economics?
bp.tf isn't the friendly price fixing cartel you're looking for. The website registers the most common price at which items sell and that's it.
Its aim isn't to help valve sell shit, neither to help grow the market nor divine the true intrinsic value of hats (spoiler alert : pretty much null)
We report on prices. Period.
Demand is a delicate thing. It changes very rapidly, and if you're not careful, it can stagnate and create negative results on the overall economy. Valuating these weapons too far below what sellers are willing to let them go for will create a deadlock in the market. Buyers might refuse to buy the item for more than it's listed on this website, while sellers are unwilling to provide the product at a lower price. If you set a price at 8-10 keys, buyers are looking around for 7 keys. If you set a price at 10+ keys, buyers will snatch them all up at 8 keys, which is a price sellers might be more willing to accept. This will help alleviate the current oversupply problem.Where is the profit in buying them if it's only worth 8-10 and there's a large supply on the market? Likely few of these will sell and it will be a major loss for all these people who spent money on unboxing these new weapons for the community to enjoy.
Once again : you're wildly misunderstanding what bp.tf is about.
here's a hint :
If you want to set a different price for this item, make another suggestion where you prove beyond doubt that the saw is mostly selling for more.
