What did you expect would happen? There's a shiny new version that's being unboxed in large quantities, it's only natural that it's going to take a toll on the existing one's value.

well valve anounced no rerealses on salvaged crates but I don't take there word father than i could throw gaben (rolling deosn't count!) cause of the craft store update

I heard (I forget where, sorry) that Valve aimed for Stranges to be fairly common and inexpensive compared to hats. That's why they keep rereleasing old ones, especially stocks like the Scattergun and Sniper Rifle. Still not sure why we don't have the Grenade Launcher again...

They already re-released the demo crate (#45). My guess is valve will wait until they re-release the Minigun and possibly the Jag before they start the the cycle again. Here's a list of what they already re-released.

#39- Knife

#44- Rocket Launcher

#45- Stickybomb Launcher

#47- Flamethrower

#49- Scattergun

#54- Sniper Rifle

#55- Medigun

Assuming valve will follow this schedule, there are two more classes (Engineer and Heavy) who will get re-released before the Strange Grenade.

Yes it does, I've got a S. Huntsman too, but I actually use mine, I don't keep buying and reselling it, so I don't care how low it goes.

S. Festive Huntsman results in more Strange Huntsmen entering the market. More supply, and less demand due to the S. Huntsman being too expensive for most people results in lower prices to meet up with the demand.

TF2WH.com is overstocked with them, because they're buying them at 199k credits. Keys can be bought from TF2WH for 11k apiece 199/11 = 18 keys.

It's falling primarily because Valve extended the lifespan of s40 crates. All s40 stranges are dropping, not just the hunts. Downvoted.

They went down because there was artificial inflation. Many people were using the crate #50 excuse to bump up the price, and when crates 52-55 were released with no crate #50, a lot of hype died down. Also, according to stats.tf, there are ~20,000 #40 crates. That's ~4,000 Strange Huntsmen waiting to be unboxed. Add that to the already existing ~4,000 and you have a market flooded with ~8,000 strange huntsmen.

or to an unluckly basatard like me 20,000 S.mantreads :'( mother of god...
