Well, we really want you to provide good reasons as to why it should drop so suddenly.
That's a very sensible suggestion, although i doubt it's going to be accepted. The keys rose because of halloween. Because everyone wanted an unusual with a new effect. That's when the key started to rose. Not, what the key sellers thought of is that if the price of a key is eg. 2.66 ref, they are gonna sell for 2.77. Then, when the price gets updated to 2.77, people sell for 2.88 and so on. Most people that buy the keys are unexperienced, and that's why the keys are rising, and the sellers, which are mainly rich as fuck people with unusuals, are getting a load of metal for it.
I agree, but it's not Halloween anymore? Idk why the keys should STAY at 3+ refined.
As I said, noobs don't know the true price, so they buy for the price it is now. I too want the key to drop to 2.55.
Same here :( Last time I bought a key for metal was when the price was at 2.88 ref. Now I just refuse to buy any; I'd rather just buy keys from the store and just use my metal for other things. I miss buying keys at 2.55 ref..

sorry, this site doesnt run that way. i really wish the key prices would go back down to 2 ref ... but that doesnt make it happen.
you need proof that people are selling and buying for that price BEFORE you start posting about it ...

The only problem is nobody IS selling them for 2.88. The reason is, is because people use this site as their price guide. If we can get the price lower on here, noobs and people who use this as a reference will lower their prices.
Yes , its a magical circle , if you want the price to drop you have to agree with this, and they cannot sell it for cheaper if they see the price is higher
I like but i tihnk you should bring it down in a lower rate, like make it go down at 3 ref, than a little lower again that would work fine
Ultimately, you have to understand that key prices in the TF2 economy are sticky; once key prices do rise, enough of the buyers become accustomed to buying at that price that any attempt to drop the price would result in those keys being taken instantly off the market. Once Halloween came and went, people were so used to buying at 2.88 ref that buying at 2.66 would have been a miracle for them, whereas just a month before Halloween 2.66 was a quickbuy price.
Even if by some miracle this suggestion did pass, it wouldn't change the fact that sellers right now are used to getting more metal for their keys, and that buyers are more than willing to pay 3 refined for a key. No amount of attempted spreadsheet manipulation is going to counteract economic forces.

If someone bought 1000 keys and put them on sale for 2.55 then that might fix things... but nobody is that stupid.
