If you were to drop the price that rapidly, people would A) Not trust this site anymore, and B) Ignore the price and keep selling high. When demand lowers, so will the price. Simple.

Well, you fell for the easiest trick. If it feels like you shouldn't do it, don't. If you felt the need to record it, you probably shouldn't have done it. Also, always make the money payer go first.
