Surely getting offered 2-2.5 in unusuals means the current range is fine.
EDIT: I didn't see the 2 pure. it's also worth mentioning one is currently selling for $65: http://www.reddit.com/r/tf2trade/comments/15kgrv/h_searing_plasma_hotties_hoodie_w_paypal/
wut? being offered 2 pure in under 6 hours = current range is fine?
You never mentioned the 2 pure in the notes. Upvoted.
Thanks, I ran out of room and forgot to re-state it.
How does 2 pure move this from 1.7-2.2 to a new range of 2.2-2.6? The pricing here has always been in buds. 2 pure fits in with the current price and a cash offer of $65 which is 2 buds does as well. Not getting the bump here?
If we are using hats for pricing lets lose the buds bullshit and just create pricing called "hat". This hat is worth "2.5" in unusals.........Does that make more sense because a price set in buds means buds to me and if there is a 2 pure and a $65 offer that sounds like 2 buds.......
so what price would you suggest? 2-2 flat? because I've gotten offers in the range of 2-2.5 buds
Not sure. Just getting disenchanted with using bud pricing when pure is hardly used anymore. I have purchased 40+ hats using pure only but most of the market uses hats at this point exclusively. Unusual market is at an all time high and I think the subjective pricing of hats being equated to pure does more harm than good to the market at this time.
Amen brother. All hats are inflated b/c the pc's are based on the other hat offers. Since cash and all pure offers are rare, the true values are unknown. No one understands this principal though. They need to make super keys (a bundle of 25) or something. Since buds are limited, they can't be the main currency. Buds are like gold, keys are like dollars.
How about a suggestion of 2-2.5 buds then? The suggested range here is not supported by what you've provided.
nobody is selling for 2 buds....
No one's buying for 2.6 if we're going that route.
so 2.1-2.5 then, because 8refined
But then nobody is selling for 2.1, and no one is buying for 2.5.
The point being, it's a silly thing to mention. Unusual ranges need to keep for months. Someone not selling at 2 buds right now isn't particularly significant. Someone not buying at 2.6 buds isn't particularly significant. That seller or that buyer might be there next week. Unusuals vary too much over time to be pointing out what's not happening at this very moment. One needs to find the highest point one can expect to sell quickly and the highest point one can reasonably expect to achieve with a large amount of time, then ranging across that.
Though, after all of that said, there IS someone selling for 2 buds in the end. Or $1 over 2 buds if you really want to be picky.

do whatever you want with this suggestion
people offer 2.3 pure to 2.5+ in unusuals
Still strikes me as too high a bump up. Seems 2-2.5 is still most appropriate given everything seen so far.
I might just be in a picky mood though, it's a matter of 0.2 on the low range and 0.1 on the high. I'll let another admin handle this one in the end due to my overinvestment in the comments.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7478196 $65 buyout (barely 2 buds)
It's only a day old though, so I don't really count it. Your trades are young too. The previous owner of yours had a 2.7 buds buyout: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7278688
But there's no evidence of what he actually sold it for. I'm gonna accept this. 0.1 buds isn't too much over the proper range and your suggested price reflects what these could probably get with some time.
