I've been selling keys for a while now, for 3.33. Not nearly as much luck as him. Had 19 keys, took 2 weeks to sell for 3.33 each. Still have 3 in stock, nobody wants them. One link isn't enough.

I agree with this. I tried selling for 3.33 ref too, but it isn't going as fast as you would think. People are trying to create a hype, "sold 20 keys in 1 minute for 3.33 ref" Bullshit.

It's supposed to reflect tf2 outpost economy, I have no interest in changing the price of key, it's just to correct the current price.

Outpost does not represent the entire tf2 economy. One link does not represent all of outpost.

This does seem better than the other suggestion (http://backpack.tf/vote/id/50dfc96fba25368b3700002c), if you look at his proof you can see only 2 people out of about 25 links selling for 3.11, one of which is in bulk, and an unsuccessful buyer.

Perhaps, but considering how much people hate change, and how little evidence this suggestion has presented, I highly doubt the voters will feel that way.

I'm leaving this to another mod, however; I've closed a lot of key suggestions lately and I don't want to appear biased.

people may hate change, but it can't be denied: 3,33 works. so it should be included in price ranges.

Key prices are rising at a ridicilous rate. A few weeks ago they were like 2.88 - 3 refined. This all started when the Halloween Unusuals came out. HALLOWEEN IS ALMOST 3 MONTHS OVER PEOPLE! THEY DON'T NEED TO KEEP RISING!

Before the market place, the idle account/ref is worthless excuse was the one everyone used. Before that it was the Halloween excuse. They will be 4 ref by the end of Jan.

It does matter, otherwise something bad is going to happen to the economy. There is nothing stopping keys from rising to insane amounts. Don't you see that? You don't see a problem with keys raising to 4-5 ref?

Oh my god. Keys are never going to be that expensive unless Valve stops selling keys which will never happen.

This site is not here to stop economic catastrophe, just report on it.

Stop rising the price of keys!!! 3 ref looks like the max we can sell it. If we still increase the key price, then every items' prices will increase and poors an F2Ps will be mostly disavantadged when trying to afford some expensive items costing more than 1 key! Just downvote.

Tons of people buy at 3.11 and I myself buy at 3.22. Also agreed with Bacon

Keys sell almost immediatley at anything less than 3.33, and even at 3.33 they sell pretty quickly. And if keys go up, then every other item would essential stay the same (the keys per item would go down but ref per key would go up).

And No one cares if F2P's can afford something...Prices are set to allow people to afford items.

Prices are set based on what an item is currently trading for.

That being said, 3.22-3.33 is a bit too small of a range as it is still possible to buy them at 3.11

Bullshit, 3.33 takes forever to sell ive seen trades on outpost that stay weeks and weeks and weeks just to sell a few keys for 3.33, I buy keys from people just fine at 3.11-3.22.

and there are a couple issues with that statement.

1) were they selling them for 3.33 the whole time?

2) How do you know they haven't sold any?

3) anyone who was trying to sell keys for 3.33 ref weeks ago would have had no luck.

It's not the max we can sell, probably the max people can afford. This doesnt change the price of hats/miscs which are in ref.

Me selling keys at 3.33 ref in less than 1min is a fact, sorry.

We just need to change the price of all the items in keys to ref (for hats and misc) then the only change will be for really expensive items such as promos.

People want to uncrate, so key value go up. That's the reality of tf2 economy

i experienced the very same thing with my trade. it's like people are buying at 3,33 because they can easily sell at 3,66. i don't know if they can, but it sure seemed that way.

that being said, i opened that trade up because i too needed metal, because i just bought a key for 3 ref. so it's not IMPOSSIBLE to buy keys at lower prices, but it's VERY easy to sell at this range.

Its also not all that difficult to buy @ 3.11, which is why imo the range should be 3.11-3.33

I bought 2 keys yesterday for 3 ref each. One from outpost when guy added me few seconds after i bumped it and one from here from class ads. I think its possible to buy them cheaper.

also, this. eventhough there's constantly some sellers and buyers, sellers do not come close to buyers. it's not a rare sight to have "no keys available" and i think with these prices, we'll never see more than 10 keys at this poor bot.

3.11-3.22 is perfectly fine i buy keys at that price, takes me a few minutes to find a trade like that. 3.33's stay weeks and weeks and weeks with no success. AND you don't have proof, 1 link DOESN'T represent all of outpost kid...

my bot @ www.gentlemann.com buys @ 3.22 and sells at 3.44 i sell over 100 keys a day easily, and buy just as many.

If you want to see it by yourself, just try to sell keys at 3.33 today and you'll see what I'm talking about.

3 friend request in 3 minutes, no one asking for a lower price, all of them asking to buy all of my keys.

And you buy keys at 3.22, I sell them at 3.33. Looks perfectly fine for me, this 3.22-3.33 range represent buyer and seller price

There is already a suggestion up for 3.11-3.33 which is a much better range as 3.11 sales are still possible. I personally have bought 16 keys in the past day for 3.11 or less. If you want proof just ask

I'm going to say what i say on all key suggestions. That's a very sensible suggestion, although i doubt it's going to be accepted. The keys rose because of halloween. Because everyone wanted an unusual with a new effect. That's when the key started to rose. Not, what the key sellers thought of is that if the price of a key is eg. 2.66 ref, they are gonna sell for 2.77. Then, when the price gets updated to 2.77, people sell for 2.88 and so on. Most people that buy the keys are unexperienced, and that's why the keys are rising, and the sellers, which are mainly rich as fuck people with unusuals, are getting a load of metal for it.

Thats just the truth. Maybe Halloween is over but x-mas is still influencing. The market will calm down and so will the key-price, i believe. For now i`m upvoting.

Everytime you increase the price of keys, people are going to sell it for one scrap more than it's real price for profit.

This price is too high. I'm able to buy keys @ 3 refined. Yes, you can get 3.33 refined for keys also. Therefore, this should be the range: 3 to 3.33. Your suggested price is too high. You can't make the low end 2 scraps higher than I give keys for all day long.
