proof that this price is wrong is that it's the same as Searing Plasma & higher than Stormy Storm.

There is no "sync". Unusual prices are not affected by a list of the so-called "tiers". Needs proof of it being sold for your suggestion.

Of the 10 of these currently on Outpost, only 2 have semi-serious pure offers right now - one for 1 bud (refused, http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7128211 ) and another for 25 keys (c/o only, http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7616576 ).

I'll upvote this as it falls within the range given, and no one is offering close to 1.4 (possible exception in Unusuals, which doesn't really count & I CBF trying to find their price - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7401449 ) but yeah. Proof, not tiers, seeing as they're not set in stone either.
