Ok, so they're selling at 10 keys. All that does is confirm the existing price, with no proof that none are being bought at 9 keys.

You don't get it, I wouldn't have sold 3 in 2 hours if they wouldn't have been the cheapest on OP. Sure you can get lucky on reddit or a server, but buyers are readily paying 10. Make of that what you want.

With your logic we'd have to set a range from the lowest sharked price to the biggest highball.

No, thats taking my argument out of context. You still have no proof that they are not being bought at 9 keys, beyond "I sold them at 10 keys pretty quickly".

Why would people buy from me for 10 if there were some available for 9? Why don't you find me a single offer for 9 and I'll concede?

          http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7680390

This guy makes an offer for 5 keys. Concede.

he said 9, not 9 or less. :P

@ sir, i sold over a thousand keys at $1.40 a couple months ago when there were plenty of buyers selling for $1.30. Why?

People are idiots, and most don't know how to do a simple search.

I do agree that there are people out there who don't care about a key more or less (or 10 cents), but before I offered the sandviches (before I bought them, in fact), I screened OP pretty good for B/Os and found not a single one cheaper than 10.

But I was not preying on those customers, I had legitimately low prices compared to the rest.

Once again, PROOF. You can sit and philosophize all day about this, but you still haven't proven that there aren't sucessful buys at 9 keys.

This is a fucking fallacy, just like you can't prove god doesn't exist. I have proof for 10, bring me some for 9 and we can talk. Until then, keep the stupid to yourself.

              He's buying Einstein, not selling.

*I can't seem to answer directly to your latest comment, but here's the quote verbatim:

"Why don't you find me a single offer for 9 and I'll concede"

Now of course for the sake of the argument that was clearly a seller for 9 keys I wanted to see. The fact that you took the ambiguity of the statement to make a joke only proves to me that you couldn't find one. I accept your apology.

That's what you asked for, Watson.

I'm not sure if you can quite remove 9 just yet, maybe soon.

I updated my trade to buy for 7 keys + 6.66 ref and got an add in about 5 minutes, but maybe it was just a quick-sell.

This is exactly the kind of counter-proof I was hoping to get from the other guy. If there are indeed sellers for 9 to be found, my suggestion might have been a bit premature.

There was another suggestion going on with 10-12 keys, closed 10 hours ago. I browsed 10 pages on OP and only found 5 traceable finished trades, all at 10 and a few B/O`s exactly there. For me this an upvote.

I personally think it should be higher, this guy got an offer of an blizzard hetman on his trade, he also has a 12 key 1 ref offer.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7254520 . I have also seen many 11 key offers on outpost.

however, this is a step in the right direction, upvote.

That trade was two weeks ago, when they were first being unboxed. The price will rise over time, but it's not about to double or more just yet.

OP is being cruel, I think I'll just not vote here.

Just recently bought one of these. After looking through pages of trades and offers, I think the current range is fine, as much as I'd like for the price to go up.

                Just wanted to post here,

                http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7703794

I just 1:1 a sf sandvich for a sf grenade. 10 keys is even too cheap. I know its just one trade, but its evidence of a rising trend in prices.

just got offered a Black Bill's for mine, easily 10 Keys, probably more soon

I've been offered a painted bills, 10 keys, 11 keys, 12 keys and sold one of mine for 12.5 yesterday. I also searched outpost yesterday and found a ton of people trying to buy for 9-10. The current price should be 10-12 keys based on what I've seen in the last day. Nevermind all the lowballers on outpost....

Just sold another one for 10:

                      http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7717750

Now, all you're doing here is removing 9 keys from the price range. It's not about whether or not they sell for 10 keys. It's about if it is impossible to buy one at 9 keys.

I looked through outpost a bit, and I noticed not many of the buyers were willing to pay 9 keys for one of these

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7468294 - Buying for 8 keys. Was offered 9, but it was declined

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7434884 - Taking offers to buy one. Current offer is 8 keys

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7694549 - buying for 9 keys (fairly new trade)

I think the current range is fine for now.

I'll make you a proposal: You go and get one for 9 keys and I will buy it from you for the same price. No risk involved.

Your links to buyers are worthless, as everyone would buy for 9 right now and the offers they got for less than 10 are almost a week old. Bp.tf had them starting at 8 then.

Yes, because 9 hours is almost a week.

In the first link I listed, he was offered one for 9 keys 9 hours ago. At least at the time of this posting. What do you think a week is? 12 hours?

Check his BP, he didn't even have a sandvich.

He had a sandvich at the time of offering. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7708977

With a B/O of 13 keys, something doesn't add up for him to offer for 9 just hours later. Either a fake offer to get a low C/O or he mistakenly thought the other guy was selling, not buying.

Perhaps he had trouble selling at 13 keys, and needed keys quickly. Since he didn't have the sandvich shortly after that post, I can only assume he sold it to someone else at the same price or maybe even lower. You would have to ask him.

A friend sold one for 10 keys+sweets recently, I say the suggestion is a good one

bought mine for 10 keys and I consider this cheap, people offer 11-12 keys

Mr. Sirploko: Would you happen to be the same sirploko that resides on reddit?

                                I am indeed.

I see. Well, I must say, I prefer you on reddit. Here, you seem more rude (in my opinion) and have less evidence/ willingness to hear the other person out. You are a pretty chill person from what I've seen, but the posts here are forcing me to revise my opinion.

I don't remember having had to present evidence of some kind over at reddit and I am very willing to listen to a good point. I did present my case with sufficient proof and if Bozo the clown would have presented solid proof for 9 keys, I would have conceded, but he wanted ME to proof that nowhere in the whole wide world a SF sandvich is being traded for 9 keys, which is impossible and not the point of price submissions.

My patience only goes so far if you are, or pretend to be, stupid and you keep arguing with me.

While it is true you do not need to present evidence at reddit, your stores always seemed to be perfectly priced (not above market price, but not below the going value either) and you in general were able to contribute effectively to pricing discussions. I remember trading with you a couple times, and you were courteous, which was something I found rather lacking here.

My comment was not intended to try and justify Mr. CSN|'s actions, but rather to point out you strawman'd his argument ("With your logic we'd have to set a range from the lowest sharked price to the biggest highball.") which you did not do on reddit. You were more willing there to listen to other opinions rather than (I cannot read tone from your posts except what is written there in text) coming off as rather uncouth. What he did was wrong, but you lowered yourself to his level, and I truly expected more from you.

Thank you for your time, and have a nice day.

I remember you and I do agree that I could have been more diplomatic in my expression, you are wrong however if you consider my response a strawman, as he wrote right in his very first comment:

"...with no proof that none are being bought at 9 keys."

You seem like a bright fellow and surely realize that this is a feat no man in any price suggestion will ever be able to accomplish. That was my point the whole time, so my response about sharks and highballers only took his logic further, since I can't prove they're not being sold for 1 key or 30 keys respectively, either. His refusal to back off of his demand, to prove what can not be proven, is what agitated me.

I'm a little bit puzzled, as to how I achieved that (former) rather positive image you held, but I can assure that I am as moody as the next guy and sometimes, when I am clearly in the right (about the impossibilty of proving the non-existence of things), I will drive my point home a little bit carelessly.

The guy below is asking the same thing btw, proof that no 9 key trades are being made. I take your words to heart and just ignore him this time.

Isn't it the suggester's responsibility to provide proof?

I bought mine after days for 9 keys. So this seems accurat

I agree. Just bought one for 10 keys but most sellers are asking for much more. Offers of 11 keys are common

you sold in the range, good job. Now prove to me it can't be bought for 9 from multiple trades.

If these don't sell within the next 24 hours, then I am closing this:

                                      http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7737294 10 keys x 3

                                      http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7721119 9 keys

                                        Layin down the law!

Well, the two 9 keys Sandviches have sold, but if it takes more than a day to get 10 keys, then I think the current range is better than a flat 10 key price.

How many do I have to sell to qualify? Right now I sold 5 in 3 days for 10 keys each.

It took, on average, 40 minutes for each one to sell, if you want I can supply you with plenty of proof.

If you indeed sold them that easily, then I would just consider you lucky, because the listings I have above, if they fail to sell in over 24 hours, prove that 10 keys is not universally easy to fetch.

No reseller will touch it for 10 keys right now, that's the case. Basically all of the guys I sold to were going for a whole set.

I only started selling sandviches when a guy on reddit wanted to buy one for 10 keys. I sold him mine and got another one from WH for just under 10 keys. I was close to the requirements for tier 12 and thought if he paid 10 keys on reddit of all places, I should easily be able to sell them on OP for the same, which held true.

If it was a fluke, it sure was a very consistent one.

I don't know the circumstances around your sales, but I do know the circumstances around the trades I listed above. I can see when they were listed, whether they are bumped or not and whether they have offers made on them or not.

Maybe you were at the right place at the right time. Maybe you advertised better. I don't know, so I'm not gonna judge the price of this item using just your sales alone. The market is larger than just you anyway.

I never implied anything to the contrary, just that selling at 10 is easy as pie, whereas finding a seller for 9 is nigh impossible - hell, even sellers for 10 are rare.

At least on OP that is, the end-all source you seem to prefer. If we'd go by reddit standards, or even WH, it's a different picture.

In order to prove that this suggestion is false, one must be able to show that there is interest in the sale price of 9 keys (buyers and sellers included). Let’s take a look! :D

CONCLUSION: It is very possible to purchase a Strange Festive Sandvich at 9 keys or less. I'm interested to hear what sirploko has to say about this!

                                            Someone went overboard...

                                              1) "Hmm... here's a trade."

                                              2) "Hey, I found some evidence! Let's add it to the Word document!"

                                              3) "Is there any more evidence? Can't be..."

                                              4) "Ah, screw it, one more page, then I'm done."

                                              Repeat steps 1-4! :D

                                                Story of my life. ;)
