not sure this is really necessary
Unnecessary downvoted.
Sometimes, everyone's a critic. Ah well, do what you want.
Actually this is something that is both very important to do and requires a lot of discussion/proof.
It has to do with the differences between your currencies. Right now, the key is strong and getting stronger while the ref is getting weaker. This means that the cost of buying keys with ref is increasing (as I'm sure we all know). So say the current vote goes through and the cost of key in ref increases from 3.11-3.33 to 3.22-3.33, this item will have a range in price from 4.3 to 5.5. If the vote fails and prices remain at 3.11-3.33 then the item has a value range from 4.1 to 5.5.
Simply put changing the currency from the key to the ref now could potentially weaken the value of the item as the price of keys continues to rise.
My recommendation would be to see if you can find examples on the outpost of people successfully buying and selling this item at your range using ref (NOT KEYS). If you can provide ample proof of this, then it would warrant a change in currency.
But does it make sense that this item should be rising along with the price of keys? Not many people will be willing to pay much for this, and it has been falling quite a bit. It's your decision, but this is my opinion. Do what you want with it.
That is the point of the end of my last post. If you can provide evidence (it shouldn't be too hard) that people are trading this item primarily in ref instead of a keys, that can be considered reason enough to say that the value of the item is actually defined in ref and only translated into keys (thus warranting your suggestion) and that an increase in the cost of key would negatively affect the accuracy of this item's listed value as it is in backpack.tf.
I can't find more than a handful of trades that use coherent English. Most of them ask for a combination of keys and metal. So, your point is valid. But in my experience, it's usually easy to buy things for refined metal instead of keys, without much persuasion. When this suggestion gets closed, I might make a suggestion raising the price of this item, as everyone charges more than the suggested price.
False, values are different by 1 cent. Downvote.

Nope, just unnecessary.
Well what happens when key prices rise again (which they will before they crash hard) This would devalue the item but doing this switch and there is no proof to show this. Sorry but down vote.
All the outpost and classifieds listings I saw were in keys, not ref.
This change seems unnecessary.
Indeed it is unnecessary.
So close it.
Or I could close it for you, of course.
