While one or 2 might have been sold at 14 keys, it would be more accurate if the higher range is at 13 keys as some are still unsold at this price. Yet, most ppl are selling it for 13 keys now. The only problem being, not many people willing to pay pure keys for them.

I'm not so sure about this increase. I recently got a g. el jefe from the TF2 warehouse, and they have more than 50% stock available for 147,835 credits (9.75 keys according to backpack.tf's calculation).

Just asking, when you meant 50% stock, it is out of how many gen. el jefe? Cuz theres only 3 on sale at warehouse now:

So if you can clarify roughly how many stocks were there when you bought yours? If there were more earlier at the time when you bought yours, this shows that there's a demand for it. But lets take into consideration that not everyone uses TF2 Warehouse. Because if that's the case, then ppl wouldn't be offering 12 keys+ (items and pure) for it on outpost.

If you search "jefe" in stock it'll show you that they have 51 copies of the item, and because they accept a maximum of 80 that means it's more than 50%. Your mid link is the unpainted, and the other 2 have different paints. Also I believe they had roughly 40 in stock when I bought mine around a week ago.

Edit: I'm trying to get into the habit of considering other sources like TF2 warehouse because sometimes it can be a useful indicator. When I did some research a week ago on outpost it looked difficult to sell for 13 keys but maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks for clarifying on the stock part. But like you said, 147,835 credits is equivalent to 9.75 keys according to backpack.tf's calculation. Let's not forget the fact that sellers who put a price tag of 12-13 keys managed to get their El Jefe sold for keys or items worth the asking price. Obviously buyers would want a cheaper price for the items that they want to purchase. So if it's overstock at the warehouse at approx. 10 keys value, then shouldn't the suggestion be around 10-11 keys? That is something which I don't think will happen.

Most are reserved however. Wouldnt that mean they've been snapped up instantly?

Where does it say that? I'm looking at the page and it says they have 49 unpainted version of this item available. Look at grim's warehouse link in the middle, if you're logged in it tells you.

My bad, it was the Pink version they only had 1 of. Had a quick glance. If 51 are available, out of an entire stock of 51, then probably the price is too high, or there's no demand for it, so people won't buy it

I remember when these were being sold for 1.5~ buds a very long time ago... good times.

Eh - if you think about it, buds back then were 10 keys. So if someone bought it for 1.5, it's basically 15 keys. Just that cost of buds went up and G. El Jefe couldn't keep up. :(

I am the first trader who sold Mann's mint painted for 12 keys. Do you know how long did it take? A month. :)
