Conclusion: It is possible to sell at 2.33, but very rarely do people actually buy them for that much. 2 refined trades are very common, and it is possible to buy at 1.77 or lower.

You are basing your price on quicksellers? The 1.66-1.77 people are just trying to find people that want to get rid of it fast. They will turn around and resell at 2 ref. For instance, the very first one you have that is buying f or 1.77 is turning around and selling for 2.11: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/7300658

My point exactly. It is easy to sell for 2 refined, but it is also possible to buy one for 1.66. The reason 2 refined was accepted in the first place was because It was possible to sell/buy at 1.66-2.33. But since it is extremely difficult to sell for 2.33 refined nowadays, this is a more accurate price.
