Flies are liked on snipers due to it not being a very noticeable effect, which keeps them hidden. It's like nuts on an engie or hearts on a medic. Also flies + swatter, I think you can do the math with that.

The class thing I agree with, no matter what nuts is not good looking to me, even on an engie hat. And people want flies sniper because they still want the satisfaction of being better than f2ps for having an unusual. Hell, that's why I have 2 unusuals, to show my superiority over n00bs.

Also, since we're talking about it, I personally think "themed" hats are just a shallow excuse to try to boost the value of hats beyond their actual worth. But, that's just my opinion.

I think the flies swatters price is absurd, but themed hats should get some credit

I've seen people try to mark up some pretty stupid stuff with the justification of it being "themed"; I believe there's an anecdote on this very site about someone trying to sell a steaming Handyman's Handle because it had a "Boiling Toilet" theme or some bull like that. If you have to reach out that far in order to make your hat worth something, chances are it's not worth anything.

I agree on one thing, though; god knows why a Swagman's Swatter is worth 20 buds. Cancer effect, Meh hat, by any logical standpoint it should be a bud at most. Some people.

Edit: So apparently flies is a good effect for the Sniper because it's not a noticeable effect? I don't even? Isn't the point of an unusual to show off, or am I missing something crucial here? If you really don't want to be seen, shouldn't you just leave your unusual at home?
