Sorry, should have also included this link:

There is more than thirty five of them available to buy on the TF2Warehouse, meaning low demand with people expecting them to drop further in price.
Items that are expected to rise people remove from the Warehouse and hope to ride the price increase.
People are also hesitant to buy because of the Valve store release absolutely destroyed the value and stability/buyer's confidence in these after both boxes plummeted from 10+ bud offers each way down to 5.5's.
The price in wh is equivalent to 6 buds+ (1bud=310,000 cc 1key=11000 cc) think about it.
why there is 35+this box in wh. it is because wh is buying that at 6.5buds. I do think the old price is too high but 6buds is no problem for the upper limit. I dont get it why 5.8
Edit: Just checked your backpack, seen that you have one of each box, plus unboxed versions as well. Now I know why you're defending it so hard and your bias has been revealed.
Dude, the Warehouse takes the current market price and increases it.
Warehouse buys low & sells high. That's how it makes profit.
Also that further proves that people didn't mind taking a little hit when trading it in to the Warehouse because they can't sell it using other means.
You can never find really popular items like S Kritz, 2011 Strange Festives, Bills, Buds and so on because they're all popular, in demand, have a limited supply, and they sell easily, with prices that just seem to go up and up over time.
Meanwhile people that can't sell items, or feel like an item is going to plunge trade it into the Warehouse because it's a bot, it doesn't have an opinion on if the item is going to crash, so if the price is reasonable that person with an item they can't sell or feels like it's going to falling price, will trade it in to try and preserve as much profit they can get from it whilst it's still possible.
i'm genuinely (pun intended) interested, what rerelease?
Originally the only way to have purchased the figures that came with the code was to be at a convention at a San Diego Comic Con 2012 (SDCC). Along time later Valve created two pages within their Online Valve Store, the place where you can purchase the real life Balloonicorn & Genuine Archimedes plush etc, and they sold the exact same figures bundled with the codes, just called "Valve Edition". So essentially Valve royally screwed over all the traders that paid 10+ buds for the first series, when it only cost $50 to purchase one of the second series from Valve.
Which explains why nearly every single person flat out refuses to offer more than the 5ish mark.
I'd just like to point out, for the moment, valve has removed the Sandvich item from the TF2 page in the store (balloonicorn and archimedes are still there).
I had gotten one of the 200 "re-released" boxes, but I would still agree the price was impacted.
